Fixtures out this week, who we opening with?
Re: Fixtures out this week, who we opening with?
Every game that isn't Saturday 3pm is going to be shown.

Re: Fixtures out this week, who we opening with?
I know I am turning into an old fart but the amount of football on telly is a joke as is the lack of Saturday 3pm kick offs. I couldn't get to Goodison every other week and won't be able to get to BMD either but the absolute randomness of kick off times and days has gradually exacerbated the problem over the years. It's not like you can look at the fixture list and plan far ahead either.
I do watch a fair bit of non league football locally. Saturday 3pm, Tuesday 7.45 and Bank Holiday Mondays. Those are the only kick off times and what a pleasure that is.
As for first game, pretty much like predicting lottery numbers but please please please don't let the first BMD visitors be the fucking Villa. I don't need the local brain donors reminding me that not only did they win the European Cup in 1982 in front of 4.5million travelling season ticket holders, but also that Tyrone Mings was the first person ever to score at our new home. Fulham or someone else I can't summon up any strong emotion about would be fine.

In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Would love this as the opener. Catch them before they hit their stride.
Tarkowski lumps it to Barry, Barry chest it to Grealish, Grealish skins that whopper Bradley, Grealish hit the byline cut it back to McAtee, McAtee cheeky flick to the onrushing Kyle Walker who blasts it top bin and the new single-tier South End goes wild breaking national decibel records, for 100% single-tier stands.
Camera pans to the City trio simulating covid gang bangs at the corner flag, as Slot cries and Moyes runs on to the pitch to chest bump Pickford.

Yes, Ive got a feeling our first game will be a Friday night game!Bluebridge wrote: ↑Mon Jun 16, 2025 1:44 pm So the fixtures are out on Wednesday, who do you think we’ll get?
I’m going with Arsenal at home, the opening game of the season on the Friday night.
Although we may request an afternoon game to get crowds out without chaos.

Leicester are on there, Forest are scheduled to play 2 games in one day on the 30th December, and also play Liverpool 3 times.
Casts doubt on it
