Came onto here from Kipper as it was getting too cliquey on there, was a long time reader for a bit before eventually signing up proper (different username back then!) I did it around the time of my sons birth- he turned 18 this weekend!

What was your original username on here and BK? I started out on Bluekipper then went over to Club Everton Forum (I think it was?) when there was a row and a split amongst the BK forum lads. I think there was a few that then came here when that place went up in smoke (Marty was definitely one).

I also jumped from Bluekipper to here after it all went to pot over there.

There was a user on Kipper, think he was called nsno chris or something that kept badgering me to jump across.

Had a brief stint on GOT but this has always been the main one, definitely the most level headed one of the Everton Forums.

As a rule, nearly all everton groups/people online are tits of the very highest level. Cockwombles; to use old NSNO parlance.

Probably true for all fandoms of everything i suspect. As has been said though: "even our dickheads seem reasonable"

Crikey it was 21 years ago, can't really remember but think there was another site, bluekipper definitely was one, a lot of the early usernames are familiar.

Long time ago.

I remember at the time someone reckoned Blue Kipper got hacked and the admin couldn't get back in to restore the site. No idea how true that is but I remember being gutted at the time.

Thankfully NSNO was there to fill the void and actually be a better forum!

It’s true.

There was a lad, Ian Aitch (can’t remember his full surname but posted as Aitch) got the admin passwords and got into the admin forum and posted everything in the general for all to see. He made random members admins, changed all the passwords and booted the original founder members out.

It was coming tbh cos Aitch was terrorised a fair bit on there.

I don’t think it recovered from that. The likes of Hoogie and that left.

Well I certainly wasn't expecting this level of response to this thread after we lost the original site. I've really enjoyed reading the comments on here.

I guess I have neglected the site for a few years now with one thing or another. The main one being my old desktop blew up in around December 2019 and the fact that my ex was stealing money from me meant there wasn't money to replace it. I had no means of continuing the work I had put in before and I fell away. Then covid happened. Then a divorce. It's been a wild few years Image

I started this site when I was bored of Kipper and also wanted to write some stuff myself. That attracted others and also attracted some sources of info that I never knew existed. Then it attracted people at all levels from the club - youth team, reserves, first team, players, coaches, directors, press roll boys Image and all sorts.

I think the biggest pull was we hosted videos of everton games and goals in the year before YouTube existed. I actually scoffed at YouTube. How can they monetize that? It'll never last Image

Then we got stuff like photos of Wayne Rooney's first tattoo and an interview with Bill Kenwright about selling Wayne. And it took right off.

I've met so many amazing people through this site. Posters who have become friends for life, not least Bally who I class as family. Players and managers, past and present, and done all kinds of things that I never dreamt possible.

Getting Roberto Martinez to take a selfie on my phone, standing with Gordon West as he smoked his pipe, having Bob Latchford stay in my house, and give my eldest her first experience of Goodison to watch me play on the pitch are just a few highlights. But the coach to Wembley, and taking Blues to the match is a huge thrill for me. Standing outside the Goodison Road entrance with someone telling me how his hero was Gordon West only for him to come over and give me a bear hug and say hello. Taking a lad into the Bullens for *that* Andy Johnson goal against arsenal. We ended up 8 rows in front of our seats and right next to AJ as he celebrated.

The dinners we did and knowing that this website has been responsible for a marriage and a birth.

Being able to visit members in hospital to wish them well and cheer them up.

Calling Bally to ask if he wanted a spare ticket for the match and not telling him he'd be sat next to Neville Southall.

There have now been 8 NSNO Towers as well Image

I loved the podcast meet ups and the fanzine we did was the realization of a lifetime dream. It wasn't bad either.

The website has seen off two relationships and welcomed two new babies into my world.

It's been a source of laughter, frustration, anger, relief, and also support. I don't know if I'd have got through some of the last 21 years without you lot.

Thank you to everyone who visits or visited. Even Jose Mourinho when he was Chelsea boss ImageImageImageImage

Yes, Carla. She's sound but apparently doesn't use social media or anything anymore
