Re: The Rebuild

I'm very chilled out about our business tbh... We've been linked strongly with Barry, and we've been linked fairly strongly with multiple right sided attackers.

There's even the odd exciting link to a CM.

We tried to sign an RB on a free and linked to a free LB.

It feels very much like we're very clear on what we need and we have the funds available. I appreciate most links are made up but there's enough and the type of player is very consistent so it makes me believe we're on the ball here.

It's not easy signing players though, we've had to wait for July and resigning a couple of players before we were confident of what we could spend within PSR. Now we need to find agreements with clubs and wait for a few dominoes to start falling before we get players in.

I want them in now, but that's a big ask... Pretty confident we'll see at least one, probably two really exciting players in or in the final stages in the next week or two though.

No sign of Gana in the pre season photo gallery, can only assume he hasn’t signed yet.

Luiz would be terrific just sitting next to Gueye.

Get him in and a dynamic right winger and I'll feel much happier.

He isn't the source, he's just posting it.

The sources are mentioned in the tweet, Rudy Galetti

The problem with Luiz is going to be his wages. The 20m being quoted is probably because he's getting 150-200k a week a juve

Think that makes him a dangerous signing. He was really good for villa but would we want to make him our top earner given he's been poor at juve. Can't imagine there's any sell on value in a player that has previously stepped up and failed too.

Luiz would be a moshiri type signing

Moyes comments on the Gana post.

“We are delighted Idrissa has re-signed. His experience and his knowledge of the Club is going to be so important going forward with the introduction of lots of new players and the new stadium. Idrissa will play a big part in integrating everybody."

Can't help but look at Sunderland and be a bit envious of the players they're looking to bring in; Diarra in and now close to Talbi from Club Brugge (20 year old winger, saw him couple times in champions league looked good) as well as Lauriente from Sassuolo (30 goals in 98 from the wing)

Those last two in particular fit the profile for young, quick and direct wingers. Really hope we don't end up with Harrison again....

Luiz is still fairly young - only just turned 27 years old so plenty of years in the tank. Should be coming into his prime.

If we can afford it, that would be a statement move. Bring him back to the PL where we know he can perform.

£20m, 150k a week for Douglas Luiz is a bargain imo.

He’d be a game changer in the middle of the park.
