Jarrad not travelled to the US
Jarrad Branthwaite has not travelled with the rest of the Everton squad today for the club’s pre season tour to USA as a precaution due to a minor injury

Going to be so fucking grim this.
It is just minutes in the legs but we do risk taking a good bumming and we want to save the rough stuff for the premier league.

All games are on Sky, and we don't want to look like the whipping boys.

As long as it doesn’t influence players decisions if they are looking at joining us. That’s the only thing I’m bothered about.

I wouldn't send Armstrong back to Derby until deadline eve, if ever. We'll need him for the pre-break fixtures.

I’m taking this to mean that we already know we’ve got midfield sorted and there are some announcements in the post….Evertonian in NC wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 6:36 pm I wouldn't send Armstrong back to Derby until deadline eve, if ever. We'll need him for the pre-break fixtures.

Re: Pre season friendliest confirmed
If you told me 15 years ago that when looking to the future to the preseason of 2025:
- David Moyes would be the Everton manager
- The players would run up and down sand dunes in Scotland
- We’d be going on an American trip
- We’d be struggling to attract players with very limited budget.
- We’d go with what we got with a threadbare squad.
I’d probably have believed you.

Pre-season DOES matter, think it's mad some don't.
It sets the tone for the season ahead, and whilst I don't think winning every game is required I do feel getting turned over multiple times would be extremely damaging going in to the season.

Also I as a human person like to see my team not get bing bonged live on sky for 90 minutes that I will no doubt watch.
