It was 5 million up front the rest in instalments could easily have afforded him but better off dyche wouldn’t have played him777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sat Jul 26, 2025 12:49 pm To be fair to the scouts we appear to have wanted him but yo have never really had the money

Re: The Rebuild
Chances today's leaks were from the club knowing what a shitshow tonight was going to end up being?
We need a CM in this week.

Re: The Rebuild
Laughably weak in CM. Tim is nowhere near a Premier League player currently, Garner more useful at being an average RWB and Armstrong who knows. We have 1 CM capable of being a Premier League footballer and even he's 35 and fucking off for a month in January.

Re: The Rebuild
I’m just making the point that it’s easy to get deals done for players who nobody really wants for low fees. We either pay over the odds for talent or wait
Re: The Rebuild
The cm situation is anothe mad one because our best player is Gana, but he's old.
Then you have Tim who has some stuff which is like eyebrow raising at times you think wow this guy can win the ball back, he can dribble, he wants to thread one...but actually as a package he's not at all a premier league player and won't be playing for us this year god willing.
Then garner doesn't have anything eyebrow raising, but his general decision making is good and he hustles and you can generally bank on him.
Then that's IT! That's what we have for the year.

Re: The Rebuild
Not sure Dithering Dave is much to blame. Sounds as frustrated/bemused as any of us.

Iroegbunam has a lot to learn to play at this level.brap2 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 26, 2025 11:13 pm The cm situation is anothe mad one because our best player is Gana, but he's old.

If I had to predict the rest of his career, I’d bet that his next move is permanent to a midtable Championship side.
From there, he either figures it out and makes it back to the PL when he’s in his late 20s or just gets bounced around the lower leagues being talented but infuriating.
Even if we get him a good loan, I don’t see how he ever makes it here.
