Southampton won't let that sale be lost, they'll lose him for much cheaper or even nothing if they don't sell this summer.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we have moved on here if they’re not budging.

Proof will probably be if he rejoins their squad or not. If he’s still on the sidelines for their next game then things may still be percolating in the background and this is an elaborate game of chicken.

Imagine having to put up with playing alongside Grealish, Ili and Dewsbury Hall!

This would be my bet. 2 years left on his deal, and unless they feel they can get him to sign a new long term contract, then they could risk losing him to a top club for half that price in January/next summer.

que tyler going on strike and still missing from saints training
if he is still missing from training in the next few days negotiations may still be going on in the background - albeit tense negotiations

I actually have a real and genuine source now, from my mate who lives in the village Dibling is from in Devon (Beer) and knows Dibling's Dad and mates:

"Just spoken to Dibling's best mate Rob. Said it's not happening. Had to be by 17:00 today and hasn't happened. Unless Everton match their asking price, deal is fully off"

Still think there will be a compromise somewhere.

However, glad we aren't bending over.

Let's see how it pans out.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was reignited. All part of the negotiation process

Southampton will now be hoping for other interest. But at that price, it’s doubtful it’s coming otherwise it would have been done by now

Glad we’ve walked away for now. Ridiculous demands for a 19 year old who hasn’t properly done anything.

With that said, he is the most Grealish-like of the young attacking mids we’ve been linked with. Makes a lot of sense for succession planning to have him in.

There's a village called Beer? Brilliant.

I take it that 5pm deadline means he'll be back training with Southampton.
