I think we’re going to have a lot of midfield balance issues if we don’t add some kind of anchor man. Can’t afford to lose Garner as currently constructed. Not fussy about who as long as we don’t overpay.

Anchor man, natural right back, right winger. I think those are the minimum remaining requirements for this to be a good window.

Agreed, I think limiting garner to this role will get the best out of him, especially with the new signings, but if he get's a knock we don't have anyone who can naturally step in and play that position in the same way.

Ideally, we sign someone better and garner becomes cover, but I'd take someone with lots of potential who can gradually grow into the role.
