RB is a long standing issue and should have been prioritised - agree here.

But let’s cast our minds back to pre window when we were all saying it’s going to take multiple windows. I see this window as a positive step in the right direction.

So I’m interested to hear what the criteria is for a successful window when you had a squad that was in and around relegation for most of the season and then lost an unprecedented number of players.

Yes we’d like more balance, obviously, but I think we can field a fairly competitive first eleven and I am not worried about relegation and there’s still a couple of weeks yet too!

So calling it a failure at this point? Premature at best, unrealistic at worst imo.
No i don't think it can be called a failure.
I was delighted with Branthwaite signing a new deal, really pleased with Grealish and kdh and i'm quite looking forward to see how Barry does.
However i am beyond pissed off that we havn't got a right back in.
If this is rectified before it shuts then i would say it's been a good window

The window can't really be rated before it closes. I appreciate it's a mixed bag right now though, with a couple of glaring issues mixed in.

Injuries always make things tougher even with a deep bench, we were obviously trying to chance our luck with JOB covering RB until we got the RB in and Mykolenko having a younger guy as the understudy that could be brought in gradually...best laid plans and all that.

Hopefully we're still going to get in a bunch of additional players that Moyes wants by the end of the window.

Jackson tchatchoua going to Wolves and Justin to Leeds either says we’re not arsed about RB or we have a deal in the works for someone else, hopefully AMN. Justin is a bit poo though tbf

Probably arsed about RB but it's just not a priority. We have Patterson, O'Brien and Garner who can all play RB + Coleman for 4 mins in emergency.

Need to get RW sorted first and foremost before we know how much we can spend (if anything) on an RB.

Can we please stop saying Garner "can play RB" and Ndiaye "can play CF" ?

Looks poor, could end up being genuinely disastrous.

Positions of need filled...maybe one? CF, depends if Barry is able to play prem football at the level required.

RW no
RB no
CM no
LB no

Not having it at all, awful window!

Wether you or we like the idea, the fact is RB is less important than RW at the moment, and likewise another striker is also less important (than both).

Nobody is suggesting we're stacked at RB, everyone wants one and thinks it's imperative... In relation to RW though it's workable in the short term.

Who do we play centre mid when garner goes right back?

We have one good right back and he’s a centre half.

It’s an absolute priority now Patterson just blatantly isn’t good enough.

Can only hope Moyes comments are smoke and mirrors to help us sell Patterson - can’t be calling out that we desperately need a right back if he’s fit and available
