Not with that defence they won't, no disrespect to bournemouth who did great to get back into the game but the better sides will have a field day and they will need to score 4 goals on regular basis to win games

I assume the racist incident is just shrugged off so they can concentrate on the tactical masterstrokes that gave the champions a fully deserved win…

Have seen any other teams yet. I have a feeling City will be unbelievable after how bad they were last season.

They’ll have some entertaining games but defences win titles
They have some sorting out to do in that system but they have introduced quite a few new players all at once (with possibly more to come). They'll need to defend better than that but I think the old "defences win titles" has taken a bit of a battering the last few years. Arsenal would have won the last two by that measure.

Scoring a load of goals has been a better indicator in recent years.

*LPool Covid season was the last time top scorers didn't win the league.

Who knows, too early to tell who is what level yet. They'll be in the mix and I just wouldn't rule them out given that they did win the thing last year. A lot will depend on whether the other teams in that group have sorted out their issues too. I've not seen anything of Man City in preseason to know if they're at all back on track or not for instance.

It's a pretty safe bet City have to be better than last season but whether that's enough to win it is another matter.

Gordon making excellent progress in gradually making himself look as ridiculous as possible with the addition of the headband.

How much different would this Newcastle side look if the Saudis didn’t take over?

Only Tonali and Bruno in that team who id consider top class.

The rest could easily have been bought if Newcastle were a midtable side.

I think they’ve blown their chance of the big time.
