Talented but his positioning and decision-making are beyond erratic. Kind of reminds me of Besic but quicker and a better dribbler.

Best case, he learns his position and comes back as someone who can contribute. More likely, he continues to be erratic but with enough demonstrated good to be sold to a midtable Championship side next summer for a modest loss.
Loss? We didn’t pay much for him did we? With rising prices and being sold by a PL side will we still stand to make a loss?

He’s young enough. Someone will pay enough for him for us to book a (small) profit.

He was only ever the result of a PSR deal with Dobbin, who he is a better player than anyway. If he's not cut for this level then he was never bought to be a proper player for us anyway.

Thought he was absolutely terrible there. I've no idea how he's above Harrison Armstrong in the pecking order.

Don’t believe we’ll make a profit. A midfielder with poor positioning, poor decision-making, and poor anticipation of what’s happening around him has limited value.

We could sell today and take a decent loss.

I advocate for a loan to a lower table Championship side thinking that his all-action routine will convince someone higher up the league to pay close to what we did for him (or maybe a small profit).

But either way, get rid. He served his purpose. He’s not a PL player today and I don’t think he ever will be unless he does a lot of work on the mental side of his game.

Loan him so we can see is hit to PSR be £0 when we sell him for £3m next summer to a mid table championship side.

Awful player, looks talented at times when he gets the ball but he watches the game go by around him. Never seen a player more clueless as the opposition make runs and he stands around with no clue where to be.

Just reading this thead back.

From preseason and up to 80 minutes in against Villa on 14/09/24, this lad was special, lauded by the forum and tearing up OPTA stats for tackling and passing.

By full time he was dismissed as not good enough and needed replacing. I've never seen such a drop off in enthusiasm. :D

He then had a 4 month lay off with injury, popped up again in the run in and made some appearances off the bench where he was dismissed as shite.

I know he wasnt great against Leeds, but no one was and for me the starting line up with 3 attacking players and Beto all ahead of just him and Gana, left him exposed. I'm not writing him off, theres a player in there, just needs a bit of support like any young player.

My neutral mate just said he’s a good player based on the first half against Brighton

They've definitely done some work with him over the week but he still goes a bit AWOL at times and being on a yellow doesn't help.
