I think we were linked to Wharton Eze and Olise when palace bought them. So would be very Everton to watch another. Dibling actually sounds like a word for how we do transfers

He’s already moved to London once and had a bad experience, albeit when he was a bit younger.

Big fan of Glasner, Palace are a good side, but I don’t see the draw. I still think the prospect of playing with one of his idols looms large here. We know he wants this move, it’s just a matter of waiting for Southampton to cave on part of the deal, either the fee or the sell-on.

If dibbling is a no no I’d take a gander at Leon Bailey at villa…not getting game time good pace and skill know he chose them over us but might be be worth a go given we need a right winger !

I absolutely think the price they want is bending us over for a kid whos done nothing, and Im absolutely at the opposite end of the "its not our money who cares" spectrum, but at this stage just fucking get it done everton, ffs

I really wanted him but in reality he's the 5th choice from our summer window list for RW, and so the club aren't going to just pay whatever it takes with whatever sell on Southampton want.

Maybe for our 1st choice we might have, but if a player is so far down our shortlist then we have reservations about them, otherwise they'd be higher up. In that case you have to walk away when the price is too high.

I'm probably at the stage now where I feel we might just be better off drawing a line under the position for this summer, play Ndaiye there and get some pacey kid from somewhere like Chelsea on loan to rotate in when needed. Then spend the money on a top quality RB instead.

Also fair points. Albeit we need both badly

Be good to actually know the truth of what the differences are

IIRC Bailey is left-footed, but prefers playing on the right

Don't waste millions on this kid as he's not going to solve our problems. We could get a couple of players for what Southampton want.

Wouldn't have made much of a different last night having Dibbo in the team tbf.

Doesn't mean we should swerve him though, we need to invest in a talented right winger as well as cover the gaps at fullback and midfield.

Maybe go the Sunderland way and just buy 12 players and see what happens.

Could our recruitment team actually find 12 players on this planet.

It’s hard to understand some of these attempted transfer moves when we don’t know what our overall spending capacity is. I don’t know how this one plays out, but I was always operating under the assumption that we’d not have been pursuing this one had we not had a big enough budget to go out and fill the rest of the problem areas in the squad.

If by the end of the window we haven’t been able to afford to bring in a lot more quality in key areas this whole episode would be just plain stupid.
