We might have to pay 5/6/7 million over for a RW but we will also lose millions in places in the league with this pedestrian stuff

It still feels to me that our rebuild is disjointed in terms of tactics - you need a certain type of midfield to accompany your attack.

Right now our midfield is essentially designed to be bypassed in the build up by either going long or going through the fullbacks - which is fine when it’s by design. Issue is that we’ve not got a target man to go long to, not got wingers who want to run in behind and don’t have technical footballers at full back.

We seem to be recruiting attackers who are technical rather than fast and want the ball at their feet (Grealish, KDH, Ndiaye, Dibling etc) but not recruiting a midfield who can get the ball to them in transition.

Just seems like there’s a disconnect in the recruitment plan, but I’ll hold off until the end of the window to judge

What worries me is that the type of player you describe is rarer than the technical ballers we have already.

So as poor as the recruitment seems to be going right now, it gives me no faith to think that we are hunting such a rare breed.

It's Wednesday and still nothing happening.

To me this feels worse this year than anything Moshiri put us through (I am sure it isn't) we've known the known unkowns for months or even years in the case of a RB, and still nothing.

Just fucked off with it all after getting my hopes up.

I know it's been said before but leaving Thelwell at the top of it all would have probably been better for us.

We’ll be hanging around Pop World (Chelsea) to see what we can get at the end of the night

We seem to be the only smart cookie who comes away with someone over 23 who isn't a potential star.

More excellent work by the transfer committee!

No links because the mole has been trapped or no links because there are no links? Either way if Monday's no show doesn't scare the wits out of the hierarchy I'm not sure what will.

No links because there’s no links.

There isn’t one person at the club who holds all the information and dishes it out to the ITKs.

If there were genuine links they would probably come from agents and selling clubs. As a buying club you don't want to advertise who you're in for.

Having said that, I'm surprised agents and selling clubs aren't using our desperation to advertise their unwanted players.

Not a peep out of Angus Kinnear. What trees did he pull up at his time at West Ham and Leeds? Not convinced. Neither is a former Reading goalkeeper as part of the recruitment setup.

Reckon TFG have got this badly wrong.

I think Angus Kinnear was brought in because he's good at the commercial side of stuff, which we still need a boost in.

Not sure how deeply involved he is with transfers, obviously he needs to be being the Cheif Exec but we have assembled this "team" to deal with transfers but I couldn't begin to tell you who's doing what.

Whatever the set up is it hasn't been very successful.

But anyway. Not getting my hopes up any more.

I was daft to think we would bring in a player let alone 2 before Brighton.

Adli to Bournemouth 25m, same price as KDH, younger, can play right left centre across the front behind the striker, goals and assists.
