I think you have to allow for the fact that this was not entirely your typical match going crowd, tickets were easy to get and many will have been first timers that may not get to another match, they won’t have known the songs, expect a much louder crowd at competitive matches.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 5:44 am Exactly what you said. Very quiet fans. Roma fans sounded great and there was only about 8 of them, so hoping when it’s a competitive match that we can raise the roof with close to 50k Blues giving it the full beans.
PA was loud. Couple of times when the announcer spoke, the people sat around me visibly jumped!
Wouldn’t be surprised to see kids with ear defenders on this season.

I thought that was all implied by way of it being a pre-season friendly, but yeah to clarify - agree 100% with everything you said. Not a normal match crowd - I mean, I was there for one - although I am noisy!Escalator wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 6:24 am I think you have to allow for the fact that this was not entirely your typical match going crowd, tickets were easy to get and many will have been first timers that may not get to another match, they won’t have known the songs, expect a much louder crowd at competitive matches.

I must say, that frame visible behind the Hill Dicky logo looks like shit, I can't believe they couldn't come up with something less unsightly.

How come they don’t have to drink bud? One rule for us… that video would’ve been better if they had turned the Hoover of first

I'm made up there's a lot of places getting the doors open so soon.
in 20 years the place should be unrecognisable - but for now, it's really important that the club aren't the only show in town. Competition is needed to stop them price-gouging

Is it ever going to be open for people to just wander around the place on a none match day?
