The Rebuild
Re: The Rebuild
Will be interesting to see what happens with Chermiti. He needs a loan with a competitive side at a good level. He has to be playing to ensure his development stays on track.
Also want to see Armstrong go out on loan. Feels like with Dibling coming in that we now have enough strength in depth to allow him to go on loan. Again, it will be massively beneficial for him to be playing championship football every week. Much better than staying on the bench and playing the odd cup game or coming on as sub.
Tim I also needs to go on loan but I fear that will depend on reinforcements. If they fail to get a CM in, he will have to stay.

Re: The Rebuild
Even if we sign a new CM/DM which seems likely, I can't see both Iroegbunam and Harrison both going out on loan as it would only leave us Gana/Garner/KDH/New Guy as CMs when we know we sometimes play three in the middle.Gary1878 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 10:44 am Will be interesting to see what happens with Chermiti. As much as I selfishly want Harrison to stay so I can see more of him in cameos, he's got the higher ceiling than Iroegbunam and would benefit more from the loan.
Iroegbunam stays for midfield cover and Harrison goes on loan for me
Re: The Rebuild
Hackney popping up on Twitter again. But not from any credible accounts. Clutching at straws here.
Re: The Rebuild
Would love it.
Him and Fellows are 2 names I'm surprised we haven't gone for given moyes love of a good signing from the Championship.

Re: The Rebuild
Agree with that. Harrison has to be priority for a loan. He had a good spell at Derby and would love to see him back there or at a more competitive Championship side. I don’t think Derby have started that well but at least it’s a place he knows.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 11:03 am Even if we sign a new CM/DM which seems likely, I can't see both Iroegbunam and Harrison both going out on loan as it would only leave us Gana/Garner/KDH/New Guy as CMs when we know we sometimes play three in the middle.

Re: The Rebuild
Brownhill has a big money offer from Saudi apparently so I’d say he will be off there

Re: The Rebuild
I think it’s more that we’ve moved on to inexperienced RB targets so will need another CB in the squad if Jake plays there a lot
Re: The Rebuild
I don't want Tim to go out on loan tbh, I think his ceiling is pretty low and so not sure he's got the developmental bandwidth to make it worthwhile.
We need squad players and he showed against Brighton he's adequate enough to play occasionally.
Keep him and send Armstrong on loan.

Re: The Rebuild
Apparently Mainoo might be on the way out of Man Utd.
We absolutely have to be in for him if there is any chance of him leaving. Doubt it could/will happen but you never know - he will have plenty of suitors.

Re: The Rebuild
Too late for Hackney, Boro don’t have time to replace him.
I think he’s a bit too box-to-box for our immediate needs. Without Garner, we really don’t have anyone who can do the basic, disciplined holding midfield job. Gana can just about but it doesn’t play to his strengths.
I like Hackney but think we need a different profile. He’s one we could’ve signed instead of KDH.

Re: The Rebuild
I’m hoping we get 2 midfielders tbh so we can send both Tim and Armstrong on loan. 1 is essential but really do need another.

Re: The Rebuild
He’s said he’d move to a Champions League club. So not us, and I doubt we have that sort of money (60 mil?) left too.

Re: The Rebuild
In good news the price seems to be about £40m-£45m now since he's only got 2 years left on his contract.blueToffee wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 12:37 pm He’s said he’d move to a Champions League club. So not us, and I doubt we have that sort of money (60 mil?) left too.
However, he also apparently wants 200k p/w....
