The Seamus Coleman factor
Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
It was a weirdly low-intensity match but it’ll be good if he has this in his back pocket.
Come deadline day, he should be our third choice fullback on either side.

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
Relief to see him getting through 90 and not twinging anything. He even managed a few decent sprints and didn’t look too shabby albeit against weak opposition. We still don’t have anyone better than him for understanding how to play the position and how he gets himself in attacking positions. A sorry indictment.
Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
The rumours of his mascotary are greatly exaggerated.
I know this was basically a friendly but he was still defending like a 33 year old at 90 mins

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
We looked so much better with an actual right back there when we were going forward as he was happy to play passes around the corner back inside as well as just going up and down the line.
Played two really good balls over the top too, one miscontrolled by Alcaraz and one just a foot ahead of Barry.

Absolutely flew into a couple of bonecrunchers and won them, must have done wonders for him. I'll fight anyone that has a bad word to say about Seaumus. When todays football world is full of selfish money grabbing gobshites who flit between clubs and the slight sniff of a pay rise, he keeps the fading love I have of modern football lit

The Seamus Coleman factor
If we don’t sign a RB then I’d start him over O’Brien if he can manage a full game
Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
He's started about 10 games over the last two seasons, 30 I think over the last three. Everyone loves Seamus but he only got another year because of the new stadium and Moyes wanted to keep him, it was mainly sentimental but he can't be relied upon as anything other than back up and even then it's a risk given his injuries over the last few years.
