Future Captain Harrison Armstrong

Post

First time I've really heard him speak at length. (7 minutes in-ish). Definitely ready for the first team squad this season imo.

He might be ready to be a squad player but he shouldn’t stay unless he’s playing every week.

The best thing for him right now is regular games.

I think he’s the more reliable player at the moment but I’d rather keep Iroegbunam around just because I think Armstrong’s ceiling is so much higher. Ideally, we do enough in the market to loan them both out.

He's still better than Tony Bellew!

Oh yeah, hasn’t he got some dreadful Danny Dyer type show on right now?

I haven’t seen it

I think a year in the premier league being 3rd or 4th choice isn’t the worst thing for his development but I would rather he went out on loan.

Looks like he’s good enough to go an play for a team at the top of the table who can dominate the ball.

Let’s not Tom Davies this one.

I don't know but his presenting skills on TNT for the last game at Goodison were horrendous.

Baller, i'd love to see him stay but he could come back a beast if he plays 30+ games on loan at a decent level.

Looks a lot better further forward to me than a deeper midfielder. So does Tim tbh.

What sort of player is he actually supposed to be, I'm not sure at the moment. Not an obvious profile to him just sort of looks a good sized okay footballer who fits in at this level which for his age is great obviously...but it's not like a Barkley where you go wow fuck me look at the talent.

He's not going to be starting games any time soon with the players we've brought in. Think he's got huge potential but a loan to the championship or maybe even abroad could do him wonders.

Think id he tempted to keep him around then loan him out in January. Similar to last season. That way we can ensure we are sending him to a sound team, plus gives him the opportunity to play Premier League football for a bit.

Wonder if a sexy foreign loan might be a good option to develop him on and off the pitch, like Branthwaite.

Get him to Como under Cesc, and he'll come back a worldy.

I'd prefer the other way. Give him a loan for a few months now, somewhere abroad on lower down the leagues where he will start most weeks.
Then bring him back in Jan as cover when we lose bodies to the ACN
