It's pretty bizarre, we had a decent/workable blueprint of sorts with some players we needed to replace.

Then we went into that Leeds game, and it was like we just forgot about everything that was working.

It's very much like the season before under dyche. Ended the season looking pretty good and then went into the next season an absolute mess


I do still think we'll get decent players in. We have however wasted lots of time and you have to wonder if DH and Grealish are 2 who've costed way more than we intended, probably aren't what we were most desperate for and 2 we might end up not getting value for the cost

It's weird as fuck that we started the window almost signing a decent right back and then after neglecting the position for what feels like a decade just decided we'd put it to the back of the list again.

Also the 45m for dibbling. There's a sense that the huge buys won't really address any of the huge issues the way we are going. It's like it's become extremely muddled somewhere. Too much ambition. Followed by too much waiting. Followed by panic. Followed by more waiting. The plan looks to have gone out the window and regardless of where we end up when the window closes it appears we've had chaos rather than competent management

Not a good start to the new regime. I'm back to being sick of the lot of them. We deserve better. Not talking titles and beautiful football, just for it not to be such a mess

It's the same shite every year with these bungling amateurs, fucking shambolic.
Spending weeks chasing an overpriced kid i'm not sure we need while doing fuck all about the unbelievably urgent situation of both full backs and central midfield.
We seen what a mess it was on monday against one of the poorest teams in the league, and not a word for the rest of the week about doing anything to rectify it.

Carlo’s first 6 months aside & maybe Martinez’s first season (probably still massively attributable to Moyes anyway), we’re in the best place we’ve been since…..Moyes

I like this version of Moyes too, seems like he knows this is his last big job and is very comfortable in that fact. Wants to maybe play more attacking and progressively than maybe in the past and is willing to buy attacking players first over defensive.

Yes and I agree almost completely, like Moyes a lot and he's a big part of the change, but I think a fair bit of it is about our financial position, new owners, new start in a new shed, incredible and solid new players, and old ones improving (yes, this is partly Moyes too), as our management team and tactics. We've still got a lot to do but we've bottomed out and are heading north again. Seems a lot of the weight has lifted.

Interested as to where we go from here, including next manager as well (in a year or three when Moyes decides he's had enough).
