Stadium has delivered more than enough uptick in revenue to cover par stuff

8/10

After expecting this to take 2-3 windows minimum I kinda want to mark this as 9/10 but the imbalance at RB is heavy and so 2pts off rather than 1.

By my reckoning we have spent about £122 million and some loan fees, recouped about £14 million.

Have fun the PSR nerds.

Definitely a good window, it feels like we're in a much better place squad wise than we have been in years. Not perfect, but then expecting perfect is just totally unrealistic and what we have done feels really positive. There's still an element of square pegs in round holes especially if we're hit by injuries, but the overall make up and depth of the squad feels like it should be able to cope in most circumstances.

It's nice to be looking forward to see what this squad can acheive and how it grows and improves, rather than stressing about it.

KDH for Doucoure
Grealish for Harrison
Dibbling for Lindstorm
Barry for DCL

4 attacking players who played a significant or key role last season and failed to contribute much in terms of goals or assists.

It's quite a remarkable uptick in quality and already we've seen how that translates on the pitch.

I'd like to know where we're at from a PSR perspective, it feels like we've probably saved a lot of money getting rid of Doucoure and DCL's wages. Saved around £250k a week I'd imagine, then are probably paying Barry and KDH about half that combined.

Harrison's wages were zero, so probably Dibbling is on what we paid Lindstrom, but we're paying Grealish something like £150k a week, maybe £200k. Young was on £65k though and so we've saved there.

Hard to know really but feels like we've probably saved a little but not a lot on the wage bill, and spent a fair whack on transfers. Would love to see how this was achieved within PSR so we know where we stand moving forward, but that's for another day.

Just happy we've signed exciting players and very nearly covered everything we needed in one window.
We have saved 557,5K from the outgoings and we have 444K in wages on the newcomers. (That is without Merlin who probably is on around 20K p/w I would guess) But 90K of those savings has gone to raise the salary of Branthwaite - so we are pretty much in zero when it comes to wage budget this seasong compared to last.

With higher revenue from the new stadium it would probably make it possible for Everton to raise that wage budget pretty much in the years to come.

Wages as a percent of turnover is very likely going to be the new PSR.
We were suicidal with that measure at Goodison.

Really want to see that aspect improve in the next annual accounts

According to the BBC our incomings were only £3.5 million - didn’t Chermiti go for more than that?

TEAM Everton

SPENT £112,000,000

RECEIVED £3,500,000

NET SPEND -£108,500,000

We have spent more than that too, perhaps they are not including Alcaraz?

Think it depends on the reporting of the fees, that’s what I find most difficult on my transfer thread. Dibbling at the time I had £35m+ add ons but saw sky sports saying £40m plus add ons.

Though I didn’t include loan fees, maybe I should next time. £110.8m spent before add ons and excluding loan fees.

£11.4m recouped I think

Which isn’t great on the sales but given we’ve hardly spent the last few seasons we needed to have a larger outlay. Think maybe next summer we might/could do with a sale or two, to have a high level of spend again.

Also hope that contract extensions (7 ending this season) will be sorted out much sooner.

Not sure, according to the completed transfers thread we’ve spent £110.8m? 🤷‍♂️

The ‘undisclosed fees’ probably causing some confusion…

Overall good window. We weren't, as said by others, going to do everything in one window.

Lack of pace is still a concern.

Next summer will most likely be a construction of our backline. Brainthwaite and possibly Tarky replacements plus RB.
