He is and has been our best and most consistent player for some time now. An absolute class act.

Yeah, another massive game from him. Really played his part today when called upon.

And England fans and media still want Trafford or Ramsdale. Weird.

Haha yeah I was saying to a spurs mate after the man city game, there’s another Pickford replacement going in the bin

A bit weird that several accounts reported this was done in the summer, but if Paddy is saying it then it will be close

One more multi-year contract for sure.

You never know until you look back on a finished career but he should be at his apex right now with a few more peak years left.

Always been a boss shot stopper but his reading of the game and decision-making have become so consistent. The random rash moments that used to be a feature have dried up recently.

Will be interesting to see how Travers gets on as his understudy. He rates highly as a shot stopper but the rest of his game is a bit lacking. Being on our bench might hamper his continuing development but in a perfect world, those rough edges will slowly be coached out of him and he’ll be ready to step up when Pickford moves on.

We have a person from Bournemouth in the fam and he was a big fan of travers and said the feeling amongst the fans was it was harsh when then brought Kepa in and the majority assumed Travers was gonna get a shot at being no.1

Every time I watched Travers for Bournemouth, he was absolutely shite. Like, noticeably so.

Might have just tuned into the wrong matches, pretty sure he barely played for them after they got promoted.

50 goals conceded in 24 matches for Bournemouth at PL level.

My reading is that he has signed a new contract, but we're looking to give him an even longer-term one?

Probably with the new wage structure, Gana resigning, Grealish obviously, the club wanted to proactively recognise his status as a top performer and make sure he remains a top earner. Keeps him happy and other clubs at arms length.

Sign him up… pay him what he wants.

A world class keeper on the books who absolutely loves the club.

I may be laughed at for this but he’s possibly the best goalkeeper we’ve ever had despite the lack of silverware

Neville Southall says hi.
Love Pickford, but Southall is still THE best goalkeeper I have ever seen live. Pickford's distribution with his feet is better, but Southall was just an absolute machine in every other area.
