Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I still absolutely love the place but it's taking far too long for people to get into the stadium and to get what they need.
The stadium was probably like 80% full at most by kick-off and it seems like every queue you join is massive. I don't understand why this is any different to Goodison where it was just scan and get yourself through the turnstiles and everything worked fine. I'd assume plenty of people are aiming to get in the stadium earlier at BMD too.
The other issue is the speed on the concourses. People are leaving in their droves from 30 minutes in because they know how long it'll take to get served and even then it's probably the 60th minute of the game before everyone is back. I think the atmosphere has been great so far but it definitely has an negative effect when people are having to faff about so much to get some chicken and a pint.

I agree Shogs. Its a bit of a farce unfortunately
Ypu cant move around the concourse because there are massive queues for every bar or food vendor or the male toilets, which just blocks any space.
Ive never seen Goodison empty like today, on 35 mins. Such a shame

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Yeah noticed that today, people had figured out you need to start going for your half time pint or whatever around 35 mins in to get back for start of the 2nd half. Had that really weird 5 mins after the 2nd half where the ground was half empty still, which really isn't great.
For some reason it seems to take forever until the Upper South starts moving to the exits at full time too. Both games everyone's got up and moved in to or towards the aisle and then there's been a total standstill for 5 mins or so, and then suddenly it all starts moving. Not sure what's causing that.

You should have seen what it was like being among 90,000 people trying to leave the Rose Bowl after Oasis the other night.Risky wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 10:20 pm Yeah noticed that today, people had figured out you need to start going for your half time pint or whatever around 35 mins in to get back for start of the 2nd half. Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I'm a bit mixed by it all, the outside is stunning, the seat view was brilliant but everything in between those is a bit frustrating. I don't know what happened but no turnstiles were working and the queues were building, eventually they sorted the issue and we got in.
Once we were in and it was quiet it was fine but when it fills up, fuck me there's not much room and the toilets are a joke, that's where all the issues are coming from with people going early before half time and coming back late.
Our seats were great but it's steep and anyone a bit unfit will struggle, I can see people taking a fall on the steps going down as well. Getting out was slow, we were in the upper south block 206 and there's only one exit so it took ages to get out. Overall, once we got out, walked back to the car and got out the city we're about an hour and half later getting home than before.
And still lots of empty seats, think the attendance was given as 52,114 so well below capacity and you could see lots of blocks of seats empty which is frustrating for people wanting tickets, they're not just seats here and there but whole rows and blocks that are empty.
I love it, I really do but we'll just need to get used to the downsides.

So third time there (upper South, block - corner of that and the West) and have to say there were vast improvements this time.
They had pre-poured loads of pints this time so the queues were dramatically reduced for us. For the first time it wasn't cheek-by-jowl. Took a few of your advice and moves to the centre of the stand - it wasn't less crowded, but seeing the screens meant we could guage when to go back up.
Right now the toilets are the only stand out problem. It may not be very politically correct, but there are still far more men at the game than women, but it seems there are the same amount of ladies as there are gents toilets - may need to redress that next close-season. (Although concerts mean we should probably keep the ratio).
Other than that - more screens and an announcement "the second half is about to begin" are two easy fixes for the concourse I reckon.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I am the very back of upper south.
I went down on 45 minute, queued for the toilets, then got a pint, necked it and then was back in my seat before the 2nd half.
The only problem is leaving, as mentioned earlier. It is like you stand still for 5 minutes before it starts moving.

Ive not queued once for the toilet here, masses of space etc
Its so strange why wouldn't they think about how loads more men?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
It’s because it’s an all purpose stadium so you need the same amount of toilets for concerts and stuff like that.
Well, that and because the feminists leftists probably demanded it.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Been all 3 games in the Upper South and really don’t get the issues people are moaning about. A new stadium isn’t going to solve the issue of tens of thousands of people wanting a piss/pint and food at the same time. I’ve literally gone down half time each gamegot served instantly, and never waited more than a minute or two to go toilet. Some people are daft though seen cues at one till point at the chicken bar six or seven deep and I literally just walked a few tills down at the same bar and got served instantly. There’s plenty of facilities there people just need to use them instead of hitting the first one they see when coming down
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Yeah, I was typing out my point around toilets, but by the end (when I remembered about concerts) realised I had talked myself out of my own point

I would say though, it feels like in today's modern world, temporary repurposing/signage could turn the odd ladies toilet into a gents one for match days. (And vice versa should the need present itself)

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
If the ratio of attendance really is as skewed as you suggest, they should convert some of the women's loos to men's. Maybe with a greater stall/urinal ratio then the regular men's toilets. Just make the signage changeable for so when a non-football event takes place they can allocate them to women. If needed they can cover up the the urinals when being used as a women's loo.superpull wrote: ↑Sun Sep 14, 2025 6:45 am So third time there (upper South, block - corner of that and the West) and have to say there were vast improvements this time.

Seems pretty easy to address.
Or get these.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I haven’t experienced any issues with queues or toilets but that’s probably because I don’t go down at half time. What did annoy this week though was the removal of the Camden beers from the bars in my area of the North stand. A choice of lager, cider or a can of Boddingtons is a circle of hell I don’t want to enter. Tea was the only beverage option.
