Tyler Dibling
Re: Tyler Dibling
Didn’t get too see much of him but from the few times he got on the ball, his dribbling style looks quite a bit like Grealish.
He’s got at least the year to learn all he can off Jack.
There’s an immense player in here if we manage his development well.
He’s surprisingly big as well.

Re: Tyler Dibling
Feels like a ridiculous signing when we've got a centre half playing right back.
Might end up a top player but a sub winger was far from a priority

Re: Tyler Dibling
Genuinely look at him given his physicality and think he might be a real option for the middle of the pitch. Very small cameo today but he does look like he can take the ball under pressure and distribute. Maybe a different option to KDH?

Re: Tyler Dibling
I thought he was a CM not a winger?
I like him alot, he is young, no worries here. Hoping he gets a run soon

Played RW for Southampton for most of his appearances I believe.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 3:48 pm I thought he was a CM not a winger?

I think there was some mention of long term looking to move him inside though.
Re: Tyler Dibling
Was mentioned on the athletic that his long term position will be upfront.blueToffee wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 3:50 pm Played RW for Southampton for most of his appearances I believe.

That seems mad and I think I might be misremembering that though.

Re: Tyler Dibling
I think it all comes from Russell Martin saying he was their best player in pre season games as a false 9, and that his future position will be as an 8.
Re: Tyler Dibling
His best position still needs to be worked out but he could be a Grealish-style winger, a pure number ten, or a goalscoring number eight.
I think this is the type of investment you make when you have the chance. He has future £100m player potential.
Had the fullback market been a bit more robust with quality options, I’m sure we would have been more aggressive there. I think it’s telling that most of the players we looked at still need lots of development.

Re: Tyler Dibling
Hahaha, the pier is well overrated tbh (although I’ve probably been on it at least 9000 times, including one of the kids’ birthday party last year and a fight broke out in the softplay)Toddacelli wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 9:19 pm
