Think him, Rohl and Garner rotate for a spot and that's some good optionsThe Doc wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 9:35 am Our expectations have risen quite a lot since we won a few on the bounce and we started playing some nice football.
He is a bit flimsy, and not much of a presence defensively, but he's also one of the reasons we've played well in those games. Big step up in quality from Doucoure. I imagine though, Rohl would be the preferred third midfielder in some games once up to speed.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Some terribly harsh opinions on he, people quick to forget on what we had last season. He’s a good upgrade, and I suspect he’ll be one who isn’t appreciated until he’s missing for a game. Just cos he’s not eye catching like Grealish doesn’t mean he’s not effective
Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Sometimes you just have to call it when you see it, if it happens for confirm my existing bias well what can I say.
Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Am not willing to write him off after one poor performance against the league champions, am confident he will prove to have been an astute signing.
Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
After a few games where he's actually played well in some... could be argued you're being somewhat premature confirming your bias was right.
Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
I agree he’s not getting on the ball enough.
He’s rated highly at moving the ball forward at Leicester (at PL and Championship level) and at Chelsea and we have him in a position where he’s receiving forward passes more than looking to play them. He also doesn’t really have room to run with the ball.
He gets involved some neat combos with Grealish but ultimately looks a bit awkward having to play on the turn in the most congested area of the pitch.
Off the ball, I don’t like how easily our first wave of pressure is played through. It’s not entirely down to players, the general structure looks off.
I’d like to see more of him in a more typical midfield three and even in the double pivot. I think his current role is wasting a lot of the things he does well. That part is on Moyes.

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Think Moyes is struggling to fit the players he likes in. All of a sudden he has options. Reckon he won't drop Garner but knows Hall cost money. Can use the excuse of Dibling and Aznou being young. Moyes has previous, like loads of managers of needing an injury to figure out his best team.kramer wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 11:49 am I agree he’s not getting on the ball enough.

Yeah, I love the man but this is where he’s going to let us down.Silas wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 12:15 pm Think Moyes is struggling to fit the players he likes in. All of a sudden he has options. He will try the same team that’s not quite right 3-5 times before changing it. We’ve already seen this with Beto being trotted out despite his lack of form.
He’s the tonic for all the mad choppers and changers we’ve employed since he left but he isn’t proactive enough at using his squad to solve problems.
Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
5.5 Matches. Get rid.
Seriously though, not sure why Moyes is so insistent with him being a 10. Especially with League One Tim at CM.

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Really don’t like him in that number ten.
What does he offer in that role? He’s not creative, he doesn’t press well, he makes the odd run in behind but it’s not enough really. Can’t see him getting decent numbers in that position.
Would rather see him moved further back as he’d be a lot better on the ball than garner imo.
Get ndyaie in the ten. He’s a ball winning machine and a threat going forward.

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Moyes probably sees him as too lightweight for CM. He'll do well against West Ham, but he shouldn't be an automatic selection when Rohl is fit.

KDH and Gana as a double pivot with Ndaiye as a 10?TheRam wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 10:35 pm Really don’t like him in that number ten.

Seems pretty awful that tbh, would be much better off going 4-3-3 with the same personnel if we're changing something.
Think though it's been a few games and people are judging far too quickly. People just need to give new players time to settle.
