This game should be a turning point for Moyes.

Its going to get really bad after this, or we’re going to figure out how to pose a goal threat and get back up the table a bit.

Honestly can’t blame anyone for this.

You run all of the things that had to happen in that game for it to be 3-0, then it’s an extremely rare result considering the actual gameplay.

The goalkeeper made several brilliant saves. We had a goal extremely harshly disallowed - the keeper wasn’t impeded in the slightest. They score in the 51st minute - 2 set piece goals.

They do absolutely nothing in the second half and we have a ton of possession and chances and fail to score. Yet they go up the other end and nick another.

I think someone else said it here at 1-0, but it felt like one of those days. And it was. A very strange, rare, “one of those days”.

We were really good first half I thought. Goals killed us though and first game we looked really poor across the back. Do think o briens goal is allowed it goes different but we really need to be able to mix it up.

Would like to see Rohl, Alcaraz and Dibling get more minutes.

I did have a feeling this morning this would either be a game that Everton would get a very hard fought narrow win or Spurs would get a very big score and would lead to pundits calling the Willem Dafoe lookalike the new Pochettino or something. Sadly on this occasion it was the latter.

Fucking mental take.

People having europe as an expectation this year are deluded.

So bored of seeing that absolutely shite shout on here.

We'll get frustrations like this along the way this season

Look where we have been over the last five/six seasons. It's put us back years. Not easy to undo in one summer window.
We have to keep adding quality every summer and ensure we keep a hold of our better players like Ndiaye and Branthwaite.

Spurs have fielded a second eleven there. This is a new era at Everton. We have to be proactive and smart in every recruitment of players and manager.

It will take time and patience, time to judge will be three to four seasons time.

We so badly need a proper goal scorer/presence up front, I’ve always backed Beto despite his limitations, but I’m done with him now, although I have no faith whatsoever in Barry, he needs to go out on loan in January, regardless of the cover we have.
And Alkaraz needs to start over KDH.

I don’t think either team played particularly well.

Felt like one of those that the little deflections and the decisions went for them and not for us. Their first goal was off the shoulder, could have gone anywhere. We had that shot second half that took two ricochets and another day could’ve gone in, same with Ndiaye’s flick or Beto’s overhead kick.

Grealish takes that early chance, or even we get back into the game from the corner it could’ve easily panned out the other way had we got our noses in front and let them chase.

All that said, not sure Moyes is getting everything right here even with some square pegs in the team.

Something got to change and quick.
Garner has to go to right back and rohl go take his place in midfield and if that means dropping job then so be it.
I have absolutely no idea whatsoever to do about our lack of a competent striker, but it's fucking killing us.
We need to be careful now we are sliding down the table and this league this season is very tight
