Watching Fiorentina v Udinese.
Not got to watch much Serie A of late. Surprised/glad to see Fiorentina doing so well this season.
Moise Kean leading the line too.

Re: European Football Thread
It boring this when you draw the same teams 2 years running
Liverpool will play: Real Madrid (home), Inter Milan (away), Atletico Madrid (home), Eintracht Frankfurt (away), PSV Eindhoven (home), Marseille (away), Qarabag (home) and Galatasaray (away)
Madrid at home again

CL is absolutely shit in this format. Top teams can lose more than half their games and still go through. 8 games over months just to get rid of 12 crap teams.
Waste of time. Like that Real Madrid v Liverpool match means something in the knockout stages but it means nothing in the group stages because the loser will almost certainly still make it through the group stage whilst similar matches will happen the same season and every season afterwards.
The days of Bayern/Barcelona/Inter all being in a 4 team group are over and all the top teams and Uefa are very happy about it.

The draw seems a bit of a non event now. Everyone gets a similar mix of teams and everyone who's expected to qualifies.

Spot on. Had the Kopite part of the in-laws explaining to me how it made it so much more interesting and better because you played a wider range of teams. Don't think he even believed it himself when he was telling me.Shogun wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 5:09 pm CL is absolutely shit in this format. Used to be if you lost the opening game in your group when only two out of four went through that there was a bit of pressure. Now they lose the first two and there isn't really any jeopardy for the big sides. City were atrocious last year and still got through.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Defo gonna be every Trent touched booed in that Liverpool Madrid game, and their fans absolutely buzzing off an over enthusiastic slide challenge on him by one of their biffs in a 3-0 win

The same fans that think Isak should be on strike at Newcastle to further himself?Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:20 pm Defo gonna be every Trent touched booed in that Liverpool Madrid game, and their fans absolutely buzzing off an over enthusiastic slide challenge on him by one of their biffs in a 3-0 win
