This is very good news. He was probably our best player last season.

Personally, I'm a sentimental one, so I'd love to see one for Coleman. Could give Sligo 50% of the takings too, they'd feel the benefit.
Would love a Sligo one where they get 100%.

Look what value we’ve had out of Seamus over the years for £60k

Sligo are fundraising to build a new stadium themselves. They’re languishing second from bottom in the Irish league. Any funds would be most welcome.

Don't take him off ever, unless you go and get another proper midfielder

This'll be a good pub quiz question - Gueye became the second player to score at all three of Everton's stadiums

Edit: second!

Didn't mention Keane trying to headbutt him or not running away before he could slap him. Needs to see the angle lot on here saw obviously

Fair play to him, that's about a good an apology as you can make in the situation.

Was also glad at how the players in general seemed to be at the final whistle. Seems to be taken for what it was a stupid flash in the pan.

Gueye is a great player, but I am sorta interested to see how we balance things in his absence. Garner moving back? Tim in? Or Alcaraz if we're trying to be more on the front foot?

Fans should absolutely stand behind him and draw a line under it. He had a crazy moment, born out of commitment to the team and was man enough to immediately apologise to Keane. Was totally out of character and hope he's ok tbh, it was just so out of character.

Happy to forgive him, but it still means we're going to be extremely thin in the midfield over the next few games.

Should never have happened but if you’ve ever had that red mist moment…

Totally out of character and no harm done so hopefully that’s the end of the matter.

Not sure if he has but would have liked to have seen Keane say something to the effect that all’s forgiven and forgotten.
