Think 55 points probably gets you higher up this season such is the inconsistency of probably three quarters of the league.

I would not be surprised come the end of this season there are about 8 or 9 teams seperated by half a dozen odd points. It's that tight.

Managed to avoid anything about the game until now. Nothing better than jumping in on the last page and finding happy Blues. And then we were ninth, what’s strange season this is.

We need to see Garner at right back as often as possible until we get a proper right back. Maybe(?) midfield is his preferred position but right back is his best team position. We always look more balanced.

I say this with the absolute conviction of someone who hasn’t watched so much as highlight yet.

We are living in an alternate reality (and loving it), from the BBC…

Since Moyes' first away game back in charge of Everton in January, only Arsenal (30) have won more away Premier League points than Everton (27) and no side has won more away games in that time than the Toffees (8).

Great win against a side who have been a bit of a bogey team recently.

I just had a look at the table though and Bournemouth are actually below us in 14th place and have lost 4 out of their last 5 games with the other being a draw. Not looking too great for them which is a bit surprising.

Yep Bournemouth have dropped from 2nd to 14th in 5 games picking up 1pt. That was a massive win , normally we like to get teams out of a rut.

Whoa, had no idea there was a midweek match.

Good away win, especially since Bournemouth have been a bogey team for us recently.

Mad league.

Win 3 in a row, you’re a Champions League contender.

Lose 3 in a row, you’re in a relegation battle.

Amazing league this year. Best one in living memory for me so far. Can't remember a season where everyone can beat everyone and there's such fine margins between teams.

Hate when people say the league is full of “dross”

It’s by far the best quality league in the world and it’s so tight because the teams outside top four are all really competitive.

It’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen. We’ve just nearly had Fulham draw 5-5 with Man City after being 5-1 down.

Michael Salisbury is the referee for this one. His record for both clubs is:

Everton record: Pl3 W3 D0 L0 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael ... n/1/plus/0
Bournemouth record: Pl10 W4 D1 L5 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael ... n/1/plus/0
Great ref Michael Salisbury you know

This got lost in the thread, but I’ve never read a more apt description of a player.

Makes things happen though. Which is what you want. Put him up top for a game and you can guarantee he would have more shots in one game than Barry has managed all season.

This is the season that if you had a weakened side like in the previous few years, you would be relegated. So thankful that we have Moyes in the hot seat with just enough quality to be comfortable.

Enjoy your breakfast this morning mate. Maybe even go large as you’re not paying? Whatever it is, I’m sure it will taste great.
