Chelsea v Everton
Re: Chelsea v Everton
We just need to be in the game for as long and possible and we can grind something out. They have a lot of enthusiastic young players who all want to do the same thing so if we can frustrate them by keeping the ball well like against Man U we can hopefully nick a goal and then watch theit heads go down. Just don't concede early.

Re: Chelsea v Everton
I’d start Iroegbunam - he obviously has his issues but he’s more mobile than anybody else we can put there and Chelsea’s side is very athletic
Re: Chelsea v Everton
I think the Iroegbunam experiment has ran out now. He cannot ever be starting a Premier League game again. Should be sat in a 'Break In Emergency' box and used when needing to run the clock down at home, when we have at least a two goal lead.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:59 am I’d start Iroegbunam - he obviously has his issues but he’s more mobile than anybody else we can put there and Chelsea’s side is very athletic
Re: Chelsea v Everton
Last time we played them at Stamford Bridge we had Jack Harrison playing right wing and Dynamic Dyche on the touchline.
Re: Chelsea v Everton
Last time we played them at Stamford Bridge Moyes was in charge, Harrison played and we lost 1-0.
At least Dyche has won at Stamford Bridge.
Re: Chelsea v Everton
No major news, Tim and Gana back, Branthwaite and Rohl on the grass etc.

Re: Chelsea v Everton
Really? I thought his last game vs Bournemouth was his best game yet for us, got an early booking and then still held down the fort as a lone DM putting in some great challenges to stop breaksBumble wrote: I think the Iroegbunam experiment has ran out now. Re: Chelsea v Everton
Bournemouth was a ragged first half, got booked, steadied himself until half time and then second half admittedly kept it simple in order to not get a second yellow. I still haven't seen any game intelligence or positional awareness though. If we play him it can't be in a midfield two, he doesn't have enough discipline.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:53 pm Really? Re: Chelsea v Everton
Huge concerns playing Gana and KDH together, both small, neither positionally disciplined and could easily get overwhelmed by Chelsea's midfield.
Maybe worth a try just to see but doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence. Neither does Tim in there tbh so I'd probably just stick with Garner and KDH in there, Alcaraz in the 10 and JOB at RB.

Re: Chelsea v Everton
They're not all that really at the moment. Joao Pedro might come in up top but he plays like a CDM most of the time.

Re: Chelsea v Everton
I'm back at having absolutely no idea what to expect from Tim, the lows are so low but the highs are genuinely promising

I hadn't realised but nearly half way through the season and this is our first away game in London. There's going to be a few tough, long away days for fans towards the end of the season, our five last away games are all in London.
