It is true that we are awful at creating break away opportunities. We lack pace all over the pitch.

Desperately need two fullbacks who can overlap with pace.

Another toothless performance from him again last night and thought the first penalty incident summed him up sadly.

We had a surprise break and he had Zubimendi one on one as the last man and he didn't even try and go past him to get a shot off, just knocked the ball too wide to run in on goal and left a trailing leg in the hope he caught him and got a soft penalty. You want your striker bearing in on goal there muscling a small midfielder out the way, but he looks like an U-21 kid playing a level or two above his ability against seasoned men.

We'll get a proper striker in on loan in January, we can't go another 5 months of Beto and Barry sharing 90 mims every game and contributing nothing.

Hes crap. Might be useful 1 day but we spent about 70-80m on players who need a loan

Weirdly thought it was one of his worst games in a while, but can't complain about getting a goal when not playing at your best. Plus played a big part in the opener.

Took the goal nicely too, you always want a striker to take those sort of chances.

He must love playing against Forest right now too.

Just glad he scored in the game. Agree he was having a stinker, though there was little to no service in the second half. Got one chance and took it. We take it.

Was another nice finish really, one most strikers should slot, before it I thought it might have been 30/70 but he was composed and did well. More please Thierno.

Made a couple of decent passes on the break that simply wouldn’t happen if Beto was playing.

Spoke volumes about Beto's performances that Barry was not great tonight and yet Moyes kept him on the pitch that long

Keep pumping minutes into him and letting him grow.

I thought quite a bit of his play was poor in the first half when we actually had some opportunities on the break but nothing Beto would’ve done better with.

Think he’s going to come out the other side of this fairly rough season a quality player. There aren’t a lot of good strikers around the league right now, even some of the top sides are struggling to find suitable options.

Both his goals id never say previous strikers would have scored for us so nice to feel confident in that position! Very sweet after game interview too.

My only (well not only) concern is that he's good in his movement and finishing when we're ahead and there's space behind. He does make a clever run timed well. Notnso good against a set defemce, or when we have our players ahead of him.

It was so nice to see a forward move so slick, and stick, especially given it was a night when the lesser-lights to shone.
