He looks really impressive at CB. Wins every aerial duel and he isn't getting pushed off the ball by anyone. Quick too. Maybe Moyes doing a Lescott with him and bedding him in at full back was an enforced right move which has brought him up to a level where he can slot in for good at CB now.

It’s just saving crosses with his hands he needs to work on now! 😂

Might be hard for Branthwaite to get back in this season if Jake plays like this in a few more games. Certainly done his chances no harm with the last 2 performances at CB!

100%.

Moyes likes to get defenders up to speed at the “safest” position in which he can reasonably field them.

It’s frustrating watching players play out of position at times but you can’t argue with the end results.

Absolutely awful RB. I don't know how Moyes is still persisting with this.

Don't get it. Just don't.

Horrible watching him getting hung out to dry like this.

Yeh this is starting to look bad on Moyes now. The lad is a 6’5” centre half being asked to patrol up and down the touch line and offer an attacking outlet.

Just find an option in the squad to fill that position and put the lad where he needs to be. Hasn’t conceded a goal yet at CB.

Can’t play rb at home, simply as! Can get away with it in a low block away from home, but just completely stumps you going forward when you are that dominant team.

No fault of his own by the way

Just put him in the middle next to one of those old dopey donkeys until JB is fit enough to play alongside him.

Only saw highlights but looked like he would have done better compared to the slower duo at the end of the game. We were done for pace (and positioning(?)) and the game was gone though.

Can kind of understand why the old duo were left on for their goal threat but that's the conundrum we have with a squad with considerable deficiencies.

Picked for his height, but how many crosses go to the RB position? Ridiculous.
