Re: Rate the Toffee - #5 Neal Maupay

Karma caught up with him eventually it seems. He has 129 minutes for Marseille this season, 128 of those were in cup competitions, with only one minute in Ligue 1.

It's still funny how his tweet ultimately came back and bit him in the arse. He's making a habit of doing something then it blows up in his face. Snide cunt without the ability to back it up, love where his career's gone since he left.

I'm generally quite lenient with players. I don't blame them if they're overpriced or shit, none of that is their fault after all. Some will fall to addiction, some will listen too much to their agents, and while they should take some blame for that, ultimately they're more of a victim in these situations.

I can't however stand petulant cunts who clearly aren't even trying.

And least we forget the muppet Frank Lampard who signed him in the first place

0.

Could’ve been quite useful if we had any throughball service to him but we didn’t have any creative passing in the team at the time so it was ultimately an exercise in pointlessness.

Solidifies his 0 by paying a PR firm to write troll social media posts for him which to me is pathetic, attention-seeking behavior.

Do we have time to squeeze in former Brentford manager Lee Carsley when Maupay is done taking his kicking?

That’s a more fun conversation.

Cars gets a 10, just for that iconic piley on pic after his derby winner.

I think it's safe to say someone will do well to get a worse score than Maupay. Bottom of the table with a score of 0.37!

Lots of options for Sunderland but going for someone who made over 100 appearances for both teams... Zinedine Kilbane. I don't remember him as being a great player but I know he's not remotely popular among Sunderland fans. A pretty hard-working player though from what I recall and adequate for the time. Middle of the road 6 for me.

5 for me, extremely limited player whose only 'skill move' was the push and rush. Pretty crap but worked hard and couldn't fault his attitude.

6 feels about right. Bought for next to nothing. He was a solid pro albeit extremely one sided, one paced and a bit of a one trick pony. 111 caps for Ireland and played at a World Cup.

I’ll give him a 7.

I recall him being really good in his first season and a generally solid player all round.

Yeah a solid 6.

Good pro, very one sided though and lacked that extra trickery and pace you really need to be a good winger.

6 for me.

Average player who pulled out some brilliant moments on the odd occasion. Would have been an average 5 but for those magic moments he sometimes produced. I seem to remember a couple of very good volleys at Goodison.

7 for me, always decent and reliable without ever being that exciting.
