Don't move the goal posts now daz! Pulls someone down or uses a pulling down action?

People use the second one during aerial challenges all the time or you wouldn't be asking that question, but by asking it you've kinda proved it's not all that alien.

Either way, it was a red because the rules say it was, so we're arguing over what we think the rules should be which is even more pointless, so I'm going to make my therapist proud and give up.

Is it possible he was using his hands to get leverage his fingers got stuck in the players dreads and that caused his head to go back don’t think Keane would do that

No.

I don't think he intended to pull the hair though before it happened... Just felt the hair and in a moment of madness and instinct he gave it a tug to gain an advantage.

my point is though whether he meant it or not only he knows....the game is now being reffed by cameras...to answer braps question "isnt that the point of VAR" then id say no...as the explanation for VAR is to hopefully right a incorrect decision....in this case the ref didn't make a decision at all...but VAR step in...
and again look at martinelli he throws the ball at bradley then tries to push him off the pitch...the ref did nothing until VAR intervened...according to VAR they looked at it... deem it's not violent conduct and ref gives a yellow.....
one rule for one...one rule for another....they make it up as they go along.....and step in when they want...and keep out of it when they want...
The game will be soon reffed by drones and instant replays...so no need for a a ref on the pitch...

Rugby has gone the same way every collision slowed and paused at point of contact red cards nearly every game football is going down the same road except there is absolutely no consistency in var decisions

I prefer the rugby tmo system to footballs var system…at least tmo is open and honest in that everyone can see what they’re reviewing and why with an “open Mike” so everyone including the fans can hear what’s being said between them and how they reach a decision…..football would never take that system on because we would hear the complete drivel they would be coming out with!!
The other thing I like about rugby is when a player goes down with a head “injury” they go off for ten minutes..have a head scan and check up from a third party doctor…….can you imagine how quick all this feigning of head injuries footballers pretend to have would disappear from our game if that happened…
Currently the ref stops the game allows the physio on who wobbles his “banged” head about…holds up 3 fingers so the player can count them ha ha throws some cold water on his neck…then he goes off for 30 seconds and hey presto he’s fine to come back on run around and clear the ball with a header !!!!
