January Transfer Window
Re: January Transfer Window
Why are people talking about him starting and playing every game?
If this ever happens it will be on a free in the summer and he’ll be a squad player.

The only similarity between Wilson and Modric is the headband unfortunatelyTrowel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 1:35 pm I wouldn't mind him as a squad player, but Wilson thrives as a big fish in a small pond player, which is why he's always looked good playing for Wales and in the last couple of seasons for Fulham. He's 29 in a few weeks' time, and he'd be expecting to start every game - maybe he'll bloom in his later years like Modric?

Has a tendency to drift away later in game and leave and leave you alone and exposed.

Re: January Transfers - 2025/26 Season
Well good to see these players get out and get some experience. Will give us an indication if they have what it takes

Re: January Transfer Window
Think digne would be a bad signing. Big contract and past his best. Feels like the sort of signing we've made previously
Re: January Transfer Window
Agree but also don't hate it given we have massively reduced the squad age, have Gana and Coleman most likely dropping off the wage bill at the end of the season, and he fits pretty much exactly what we need.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 12:06 pm Think digne would be a bad signing. Think it'd depend massively on the money involved.
Also another factor would be if we plan on keeping Grealish. Whilst I think they'd link up great, we desperately need pace and someone like Antonee Robinson would be a better fit if we keep Jack.

Re: January Transfer Window
Massive improvement on Mykolenko, and gives us another 12 months to get Aznou fazed in.

Re: January Transfers - 2025/26 Season
Lettuce see if he proves he has heart during this loan spell.
Cos he’s a bit green right now, but I hope he turns into a little gem before his career hits an iceberg.
Re: January Transfer Window
Should never have sold him in the first place.
I'll not forget the calls at the time of 'we need to sell high and replace with young and cheap' trying to justify the purchases of Myko and Patto, who have not worked out, even if they could have been better managed. Fine in theory but not in practice.
We'd have done better even with a PSR points deduction keeping Digne, as one of the few quality playing assets we had left.
Terrible decision.

I dont hate it either but we never hated it previously until we paid the price for it. I think on loan would be good but we really don't want to be giving a 31 year old full back 3 or 4 years at 6m plus a year

He could do with shifting a few more pounds for me, he could achieve this by eating more salad.sam of the south wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 12:13 pm Lettuce see if he proves he has heart during this loan spell.
