Squad Composition and transfer priorities

Post

I know there is a bit of doom and gloom about not signing more players in Jan to push to europe, but based on where we sit today we have a really good squad mix of young prospects, prime age players and older players:

Based on that, I'd say the priorities for the summer are:
1) Prime age left back - Aznou is good for potential/rotation but Myko will be leaving in the summer and we need a 1st team, ready now right back.
2) Prime age right back - Only 2nd because Patterson looks more ready than Aznou for now but should be moved to a backup option when we recruit an actual starting right back.
3) Established Winger - Could be Grealish, could be somebody else but George and Dibling are both only 19. Could change to just a rotation option if George or Dibling kick on and cement a first team place.
4) 4th choice CB - Assuming Keane is leaving in the summer

Beyond that I think it's dependent on outgoing players:

1) If Beto leaves we need another striker, preferably similar age profile but better quality.
2) If one of Tim/Rohl/Alcaraz/Armstrong leaves then we could ideally replace with a prime age starting player - when Gueye leaves our midfield is too heavily based around young prospects IMO

The sad thing is you could have posted this 12 months ago and it was just as relevant then.

I’d like another two strikers in the squad if/when Beto goes. An injury to Barry or Beto and the other one is picking up 100% of the minutes played with maybe Keane going up front for the last ten if they’re fucked.

Ideally I’d want one for the future (Barry), one for now (supporting Barry, not taking all his minutes) and one from yesterday (older head to come on and manage games when necessary).
