I'm not getting this he looks shattered from AFCON arguement. Firstly I don't think he looks particularly tired anyway but they played one less game than they would have if they'd been here, so it's not like the rest of the squad was on a mid season break while they were off at AFCON.Pedrotheblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:38 pm Not having that at all, he's clearly shattered from AFCON but thrown straight back in due to lack of options.
Should've had a goal and two assists tonight.

The team didn’t perform but I’m blaming Moyes for every time he plays JOB at RB. People criticising NDiaye and he han’t been great but he’s got fuck all support most of the timeBluebridge wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:34 pm Not on Moyes, strong team, didn’t perform, and no excuses for Barry.
Fuck knows what Rőhl’s done to upset the manager - had a decent game and hasn’t been seen since
Re: Everton v Bournemouth
I dont disagree but I think the levels of emotion and perhaps physical and mental output in AFCON might have been higher. Players sometimes drop a bit after winning something major.Gash wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:00 pm I'm not getting this he looks shattered from AFCON arguement. Re: Everton v Bournemouth
Armstrong was the wrong sub I thought - however he probably did as well as anyone when he came on
The move would probably have been to get Garner on for O’Brien pre red card, Dibling on the right for George , drop KDH deeper to get him on the ball and have Ndiaye in the 10
Majorly frustrating. That Barry sitter killed us
Bournemouth didn’t really even have to do anything they just watched us shoot ourselves in both feet and then capitalised
Slightly encouraged by us at least having a go when down to 10 but we majorly seemed to lack composure

Re: Everton v Bournemouth
Was the missed Barry chance good defending or a bad miss?
Looked like the defender did well to put a challenge in as Barry was taking the shot but it happened too quick for me to see really

Re: Everton v Bournemouth
Bit of both I guess. Was a good block in fairness, Barry didn't see him coming I assume as if he had he could've hit it in the other corner as he really had the whole goal to aim at. Probably why I'd say it was a bit more on the striker in this instance.UnsyisaRhino wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:12 pm Was the missed Barry chance good defending or a bad miss?

You've got to take in to acount the mental/emotional fatigue as well as the physical of playing and winning a tournament mid way through a season. Not to mention he played pretty much every minute for us before going. It'd be like an English player playing going all the way in the euros, coming home and after about three or four days rest being expected to go straight back to playing 90 mins every week, of course it's going to affect him.Gash wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:00 pm I'm not getting this he looks shattered from AFCON arguement. He definitely blows hot and cold but he's still one of our most effective players.
Re: Everton v Bournemouth
We haven’t got the right balance when playing at home. Our game management is completely off and we struggle both in terms of our initial approach and then how we manage the game when either winning or losing. The reality is that this is down to Moyes to sort out.
Next season will be about trying to get more control of these kind of games. There are 3 or 4 positions where we desperately need to raise quality, and it will allow us to start winning these kinds of games 2-0 rather than throwing them away.
For now though, we will continue to surprise on the up and down side, but it’s just where we are.

Tarkowski barging their player on that last free kick, the fucking buffoon. Brain dead at times him
Re: Everton v Bournemouth
I give up..... i just fucking give up.
I honestly can't remember the last time i've felt this frustrated, i feel like screaming.
Only this club could be 1-0 up well on top and having chances to secure the game, then 8 mins later be 2-1 behind and a man down as well.
We have to sort this home form out, Leeds, wolves, west ham, bournemouth, newcastle Spurs and villa even if we'd won 4 of them, and that's not unreasonable to want that, we would be in the top 4.
He has to shake it up at the hill dickinson, get some drive in midfield.
He's got no choice now he can't play O'Brien at right back against utd, if he doesn't trust Patterson then it has to be garner, then hope he let's Rohl have a chance.
Got to try something different to break this run

Well said - fantastic signing that Brazilian dude - Everton would NEVER find players like him.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:31 pm Look at their recruitment sell semenyo get a talent from South America fits straight in sell 3 of their back 4 get players in fit in no problem we have a 35 million player sitting on his arse because moyes doesn’t trust him
When Bournemouth that easily replace players it means that they have a good recruitment team but also a manager that knows what he wants from his players and give them understandable roles.

Switches off when the ball comes in too, he's caught flat footed as they take it. He's looking round to organise others and it's his man that heads it back across.Pedrotheblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:18 pm Tarkowski barging their player on that last free kick, the fucking buffoon. 1-1 you want your centre half and captain keeping a calm head but he gives away a stupid free kick and they score from it.
Been a great player for us but we need to move on from him now.
