New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I dont mind the South Stand. I do think it will take a few years for it to settle though.
A lot of people have clearly sat there who dont want to be standing and singing. They will move around eventually.
Think the biggest issue was not moving people from Goodison to the same places in HD. The moving based on time served although fairest has everyone in mad places.
In 5 years we will love out South Stand.

Just imagine if we started off in Bramley Moore, then moved to Goodison and the fume.
Perspective.
Perspective.

Just calling it as it is.
The south stand is actually worse than the Gwladys for atmosphere and vibe. The park end was better.
Yeah the performances play a part and it has been utterly miserable watching us at home this season, but it’s mostly the way it’s been designed.
It was built up as our version of the yellow wall and it’s so far off that and will never get close unfortunately.
Soon as you put that divide in people are always going to separate the upper from the lower and the huge disabled bays at the front take a lot away from it as well.
We don’t have enough fans to fill that entire stand with fans who want to stand and sing all game. A lot of the people who already have season tickets there will just stay and it will never really improve.
Would much rather we had a smaller, actual single tier stand than what we’ve been given.
Huge disappointment for me.

I wouldn’t even have an issue if it wasn’t built up the way it was.
Somewhere along the line the idea of a single tier stand like the kop or dortmund has either been shelved or they’ve misjudged what they thought would happen.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I think that's a huge part of it for sure.
Some parts of the new ground have matched or even surpassed my expectations, others, the south stand, the break, the resulting atmosphere, have lived up to what it feels like we were promised.
The mix of people and their priorities definitely hasn't helped, I still hear people telling others to sit down most weeks.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Is there a lift in the South Stand ? I know there are some lifts in the ground, if you are in the very top row do you have to walk up from the halfway corridor ?
I’m reasonably happy in the upper North 2nd row from the front directly behind the goal but the concourse and food and beverage outlets are a big disappointment, shitty expensive food, nowhere to put your pint down in a crowded concourse, thought there would be much more space to move around. Was actually thinking of moving to lower row of upper South Stand next season ?

No lift no, which is crazy with it being the highest bit. A friend of mine has a ST up there and he is 65 and walking up to top is very difficult for him. Be moving in the summer.Escalator wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 4:19 pm Is there a lift in the South Stand ? I'll say it till I'm blue in the face. The lack of screens and PA system in the south concourse is abominable.
Never have any fucking clue when the second half starts.

Have to walk up from the halfway corridor. Don’t mind admitting, it makes me breath heavily by the time I got to the top!Escalator wrote:Is there a lift in the South Stand ? I know there are some lifts in the ground, if you are in the very top row do you have to walk up from the halfway corridor ?

I have my season ticket in row 63, I wouldn't change it for most of Upper South.Irishbornevertonian wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 10:54 am Feels steep as well. Last couple of games, I’ve been in row 63, the very top row. Bloody knackered

It's perfect to stand up all game. It is a pain getting out though. Quads of steel now too.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
There are a few - a set smack bang in the middle of the stand, between the two central bar areas. But space there is limited and it's a bit of a mission to get there I'd your seats don't just come out near it.
Then there's a screen more or less with the south meets the east, but that's away from the bars.
To be honest, just a PA announcement with "the second half is about to start" or a blast of z-cars just before the game and the second half kicks off
