I don't think it's dramatic, the likes of the South Stand doesn't bother me but people are right to have concerns over some aspects of the ground. It's a multi million pound state of the art stadium built in one go, Goodison was built and redeveloped in many stages over many years. I doubt there's plans to do any Goodison-esque changes over the next quarter of a century to HDS so the two aren't really comparable.
I'm not saying concerns aren't valid, but there are a couple of extra posts across the last few pages. I agree with the disabled seating areas, the lack of branding, there being too much concrete and not enough blue... My point is that the stadium will evolve over time and we'll find what works for us (the same as fans finding where they want to be seated/stood).
How often do people move into a new home and not want to change anything? Even new builds. When you start to live with the plans you thought were perfect you realise what needs tweaking and changing.
And of course I'm not referring to redevelopments akin to what Goodison went through (but you know that). I'm pointing out that this will be a long term home and changes will inevitably take place over the years.
Still looks like it could be anyone's stadium on the telly... It's always needed white seats to spell out stuff instead of just being this generic sea of blue seating.
I haven't been so no idea if this really makes a difference to it feeling like home, but certainly on the TV it doesn't stand out as belonging to any particular team.
Appreciate I've said this from day one so repeating myself, but it's never sat right with me, if you'll excuse the accidental pun.

Don’t understand the concern about the white seating ? Have said as often as you have commented on it , you don’t see anything when the stadium is full and who cares what it looks like when it’s empty ?

Just a lack of personality. I get it might not matter once the stadium is full, but any time it's just starting to fill up or when you see it empty it doesn't scream Everton.
Maybe it wouldn't make much difference, I genuinely don't know, but it surely wouldn't be a bad thing for it to have the seating personalised the stadium?
Maybe I'm just old skool on this but it seems something that older grounds have and we don't.

Well if you want to go old school, “we don’t need a badge on the shirt, everyone knows who we are, we don’t need to tell them” Harry Caterick
As a kid, i used to think getting a glimpse of the images/words in white on the seats in Goodison was a little reward for getting in early enough.
It was just one of a thousand little things that made me fall in love with the place.
This new place may develop them (and, to be honest there is a lot already. If they fuck off those metal detectors/searches then the move from "the road" to "the plaza" is spectacular. The bar in the upper south stand overlooking Liverpool. The rare occasions you can walk to the waterfront and sit on the stair-things there(.
But right now, it's a bit sterile and people are right to tell/complain at the club what needs to change (otherwise they wont know or will change the wrong thing)
