I'm kinda hoping West Ham get there first. Wolves are at home for that game too.

Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
Wolves getting their first win then.
In fairness to Rob Edwards, it seems they have started to look better last few weeks. Unlucky to not get anything away to Arsenal and Liverpool. Mane looks a player too.
The record may be safe if they can be more competent for the rest of the season. That said, they won't be playing a terrible West Ham every week either.

Could only draw with a truly awful United team thoughblueToffee wrote: ↑Sat Jan 03, 2026 4:53 pm Wolves getting their first win then.

Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
Nuno has gone 26 Premier League games without seeing his side keep a clean sheet, across spells at Nottingham Forest and West Ham. Only Steve Kean (30 between May 2011 and March 2012 with Blackburn) has gone longer without a shutout among managers in the competition's history.
So they bought two strikers pushed by Nuno.

Dyche rolling into town on Tuesday for West Hams first clean sheet of the season then?Lazarou II wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 7:01 am Nuno has gone 26 Premier League games without seeing his side keep a clean sheet, across spells at Nottingham Forest and West Ham. Don't reckon this wolves side will struggle to get past 11 points now, they have a bit of momentum.

Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
So Wolves officially not the worst team.
It's funny as I've watched them recently, and I'd maybe extend this a little to West Ham too...but they look better a little bit than their position don't they? Even if they do have their issues...mind you not many teams don't in the bottom half don't have some noticeable shortcomings.
Maybe Wolves would still be in or around bottom 3, but I think their points total would probably be healthier.

You have to factor in who they have played as well. Didn't really beat much yesterday did they?blueToffee wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 12:05 am So Wolves officially not the worst team.

In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Yet another indicator of the strength of the Prem. This Wolves team, playing like it is now, could probably win the Europa Conference League.
Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
They've been decent in 2026 in general. Doesn't bode well for Forest and Pereira.
They're still a poor side though. Gomes, Mane and Bellegarde probably the only decent players. All the other championship or random European leagues.

Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
Crazy that the bottom team, already long relegated, can fully deservedly to draw with top of the table (dominating them for long periods) and then comfortably beat 3rd in the table just after that.
You're just not getting that level of competitiveness in other European leagues.

Re: The Southampton Worst Premier League Team Ever Thread
Those two results were more likely an anomaly rather than any great reflection on the league. They've won two games all season and recently drew with a shite Dyche managed Forest and a faltering Palace who's manager is openly trying to get himself fired. If anything it shows how poor the league is when Arsenal and Villa drop points to a poor Wolves team, although Villa aren't that great either.
