Re: Newcastle v Everton
Its been a terrific half especially the first 20 minutes, but being a little critical, we have had a lot of ball and wasted opportunity to be even further ahead. We have played so well and to only be 1 ahead is actually a little disappointing!
For example, Illi has played some wonderful football, getting into some great positions, and then not finding a pass. Everything else we have done in the game has been almost perfect, apart from Dwight losing possession a few times down that right flank.

Re: Newcastle v Everton
Been a good first half, they got a lucky deflection on their goal and Pope had a shocker on our second, so feel it evened itself out there.
Overall we've looked solid and posed a threat, too many wasted passes in advanced positions but apart from that I'm happy with the performance.
Can't quite work out if we've been good or them just really bad? Either way I'd take the same again second half!

Yeah we could easily have another if Ili didn't slip twiceGary1878 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 3:49 pm Its been a terrific half especially the first 20 minutes, but being a little critical, we have had a lot of ball and wasted opportunity to be even further ahead. Re: Newcastle v Everton
The shit McNeil long shot parried out by the goalkeeper is proving an effective tactic between today and the Villa goal

They're far less dynamic without Guimaraes.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 3:53 pm Been a good first half, they got a lucky deflection on their goal and Pope had a shocker on our second, so feel it evened itself out there.

Their win percentage without him is bordering on zero, he's such a massive player for them.
