Everton v Burnley
Re: Everton v Burnley
Think we've done well, some good bits of play. Fair play think Mc Neil has been a lot sharper than I've seen him in ages. Gueye looking good tonight. Think it all looks a lot tighter and we deserve to be in front.

100% this. But reckon we'll score early'ish....by 60th.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:22 pm Decent half that. Was very similar to an Arsenal home performance against a relegation team. Penned them in, no threat whatsoever on the break. Set piece goal breaks the deadlock. A second goal kills it.
Longer it stays 1-0, the tetchier and more nervous the ground will get.

Outstanding save by one of, if not 'the', world's best, mind.NomadskiEFC wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:20 pm Think I cursed Jarrad with my PL first scorer prediction. Sorry lad.

Sat in this seat twice this season.
First time fella next to me spent the whole match slagging off everything Iroebugnam did. Tonight he's done the same with Gueye who has apparently spent the whole half "strolling".
Hmmm.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Decent half albeit lacking the creativity to really break down such a low block, and not enough pace to hit them on the counter on the rare occasion they come forward.
Dominated the ball though and got the goal, so can't complain.
Think McNeil's been good so far, as someone else mentioned it's more like the Dwight of old. Be great if he got a screamer to put the game to bed.

Yeah everyone keeps going about the Pickford save but Dubravka would have caught it.
There's levels to ability and we know which one comes out on top here.

Don’t look five minutes before half time, it’s always that way.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:21 pm This is definitely the smallest crowd I’ve seen at the new stadium so many empty seats

Yeah that guy clearly hates certain types of players doesn't he.
I mean midfielders btw, what did you mean?

Credit where it’s due, McNeil is actually looking decent, so too Beto, last two games he’s playing so much better.

It will never beat Moyes’ spoonerism of Munes Fori, or drunk Gazza during one of those 7am world cup 2002 matches, where David Trezeguet became Terrance Gay’s Trees-are-gayBluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:28 pm Lescott's just said Braithwaite and James Gardner in the same sentence.
