Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Who wants a Champions League spot? Everyone going out of their way to keep it open.
Re: Today's Football 2025-26
They’ve been the worst team in the league since Christmas.Stumpy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 9:52 pm I've been arguing in work now for a couple of weeks about this.
Same old rubbish, too good to go down, got too many good players.
I'm saying have you seen them recently, they are there for a reason, they can't win games and it's toxic there.
They would have been hoping for the best tonight and maintain their 4 point buffer, but it's gone it's now 1 point.
It's a huge game tomorrow, they might well do themselves a power of good with a win, but they've shown nothing for weeks to say that it will happen.
And i'm not sure the players or the fans have the stomach for the fight
They have a massive injury list and have the massive complication of being in the champions league.
They’re fully in danger, even if they win tomorrow.
Re: Today's Football 2025-26
That's a good point about the champions league, i didn't really give that much thought to be honest.
I was just going on the fact that they've been awful in the league for the best part of a dozen games.
You just feel the other sides that are fighting with them are a bit more streetwise to the situation that they are in

Those two forest goals tonight were sublime. A long range effort hit clean as a whistle, and a delightful back heel from MGW. Lovely.

Absolute bonus point for them as well. In a relegation battle run in, you have City chalked up as zero points.NomadskiEFC wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 10:58 pm Those two forest goals tonight were sublime. A long range effort hit clean as a whistle, and a delightful back heel from MGW. Lovely.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

the way spurs are playing or not even playing at the mo - they could already be down by then - needing miracle goal diffs or points
ps
they should have appointed tim sherwood as interim coach 100%

Wild leap, if only they’d have got in the guy who hasn’t managed in a decade because he wasn’t very good
Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Forest on their 4th manager of the season, Spurs appointing a guy whose never managed in this country before and made the team look even more of a shambles, and West Ham with a settled coach who understands the league.
It's definitely one of Forest or Spurs for me that'll go down, and I would be delighted either way. The way Spurs are in total freefall with only about 13 players fit where half look like they've downed tools, I'd fancy them as favourites to go down.
Huge game for them against Palace, lose that and I think that gives the strongest indication of who out of them and Forest have the players and mentality to survive.

Championship play off places going down to 8th from next season.
Surely that just opens the door for more poorly prepared teams coming up, having an awful season and going straight back down. Even clubs that win the Championship fairly easily struggle in the PL these days, never mind someone who finished 30 points behind them having a mad play off season and coming up.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Apparently Spurs are not even close to selling out tonight.
Compare this to how we all came together three seasons running to do everything in our power to keep the team up, just shows you how great our fanbase is. Not that there was ever any doubt.

Mate of mine is an Arsenal ST holder. For the North London derby the other week he was offered tickets in the Spurs corporate section for £200 a pop as Spurs couldn’t sell them. They have no fight in them at all
