Looking forward to this, my last game as a working man. It is criminal that we have nothing for 3 weeks, weird not having a game over Easter.

I do like that my first game as a gentleman of leisure will be the shite, though.

Yeah, can’t wait for this.

Saturday at 5:30pm is the perfect kick off time.

Feels even better after all the mid week rubbish we’ve had to put up with.

Haircut in town, drinks, then a walk up for me.

I made a Greek pie last night so will have the rest of that before I leave. Might go get a dereks though.

Hope we give them and the PL absolute pelters during the game.

"It is a fine coincidence that Chelsea’s first Premier League game since being fined for breaching financial rules during Roman Abramovich’s ownership should be at Everton, the club the Premier League made an example of when reinforcing its authority over disobedient members (except the wealthiest ones who tried to join a European Super League). Cheat for seven years by making illicit payments totalling £47.5m for players who help you win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Europa League and two FA Cups, and not only do you get to keep those trophies but you escape with a fine of £10.75m and a nine-month academy transfer ban. If you’re Chelsea.

"Breach financial rules by £19.5m over a three-year period while taking out loans to build a new stadium and losing sponsorship deals owing to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and you receive a 10-point deduction reduced to six on appeal. If you’re Everton.

"The Premier League wanted a 12-point punishment, don’t forget, which would have pushed Everton closer to a relegation that could have triggered administration. Evertonians were condescendingly dismissed as conspiracists when accusing the Premier League of operating a two-tier disciplinary system in 2023. This week they received confirmation they were correct."

In effect they received no punishment whatsoever, £150 million was withheld from the agreed purchase price as a precaution against Chelsea receiving a fine, the balance of £102.5 will now be refunded to Abramovich.

Really hope the stars align today and we give them a good hiding.

We are due one and a win puts us 2 points behind them. No reason why we can't finish above them.

Out and about around town today so watching in a pub somewhere I hope. Tea? I feel likes gyros of some nature could be on the cards, a wrap, something like that.
