Hope we kept the receipt, literally no point to him being here if he can’t even get on when we’re chasing a game

It feels very weird to me. We throw Armstrong there again...whyyyy? Shown absolutely nothing in that position in the two previous times and worse when we've had him out there and we've looked no more solid in fact we've dropped goals against Leeds, Fulham and tonight when he's taken up that position.

We play Ndiaye every minute even when he's looked knackered and tonight again it looked like he was too tired to press the player for the first goal we conceded.

We play George straight away and he didn't really do much and gave the ball away a fair amount. Was he that much different to what we've seen of Dibling tonight? Honestly, I don't think so. I'd give him another go though, same as I would Dibling.

Dibling has largely been pretty safe in terms of possession. Looked lacking in confidence going forward, has been tackled a fair bit in attack but it feels no different to George tonight for instance. Just give him a little more of a look in.

Honestly though, it feels similar now to Tim/Rohl with Gueye back. Neither get a look in despite Rohl looking good against Villa. Gueye just gets run into the ground again.

He'll be on loan in the championship next season

I’m assuming he will be our only right winger next season.

Playing on the right.. getting grief off the commentator for lack of belief and passing backwards.. 5 minutes in.

He was invisible first half, looked similar to what we've seen. Struggled to get involved, only wanted the ball to feet, often went backwards or inside without trying to do anything else. He had maybe 2 ok moments where he beat his man but the end product wasn't there.

Did a little better second half, and was involved with the second goal by beating two down the outside before finding someone in the box, they missed but they failed to clear it properly and someone else scored. He was subbed not long after.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had the lowest distance covered of any midfielder in that game, probably anyone outside of the keeper and centre halves.

Not a great showing.

Thanks for that Unsy, sounds like he’ll benefit from a 6 month loan next season.

From what I saw, which wasn't all of it, he was very casual in approach with no commitment to show himself. His playing style was very Grealish.. get it, play it back to source, get it again, repeat. Obviously Jack then does something whereas he did nothing. Maybe it's confidence, maybe something else, but needs a loan or a good slap into reality

The most stupid of signings. Hes not good enough, too expensive, a position we didn't particularly need, a style of player we didnt particularly need.

Be amazed if hes not on loan next season. Our second most expensive signing ever

I think people need to remember he's only 20... He's got a few years yet before we can write his career off.

I think we forget what it's like to be 20, let alone have any idea what it must be like to have all that pressure to perform at such a young age.

He needs to find his confidence again, he played really well for the first half of last season in a poor team, so the talent is there. Maybe that's a loan or maybe he starts to understand what Moyes demands of him, but I'm giving him another 2 years before I write him off.

Yes it's a bit crap we spent so much for no return thus far, but not every player's development is linear, sometimes they struggle before flourishing.

At 20 years old then he's never going to improve, mature or have any re-sale value either. Definitely something we should be getting hysterical about.

It's a shame we kind of burned bridges with Southampton because he could really have done with a season in the championship playing every week. He does have a full single season in the Premier League but that was literally his only season in professional football before signing for us and it was for the bottom team.

Gordon and Barkley were both on loan in the championship at 19/20, so Dibling spending a season at a decent club the division below next season would only be a good thing.
