The head was saying the other day that if you cant afford 7k for a final ticket then you should look at your own life or something similarblueToffee wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2026 6:44 pm LOL Fifa takes a 30% fee - 15% each off both buyer and seller - from each ticket which is sold.

Just when you thought FIFA couldn't get any worse, they basically become Ticketmaster too. They'll probably make more money off the resale market than the World Cup itself.
Have absolutely no interest in this world cup from kick off times to loads of group games with zero jepordy to the blatant money grab to it being in america I couldn't be less interested in any of it

Boston getting in on the price gouging as well
Train tickets to the stadium quadruple what they usually are, whilst no bus services being provided

“Fifa has always been a not-for-profit organisation as per our statutes”
I suppose if you dish out all the profits to yourself it’s technically not-for-profit on the books

Everyone’s just price gouging aren’t they. Every single component of this event feel like they have the green light to fleece fans.
Why would a train ticket from NY to the stadium in NJ need to be $150 or so when ordinarily for other music or sporting events there isn’t any surcharge?
