Beto
Re: Beto
C'mon now, this is Everton. They're tearing an ACL in the first game after the deadline closes.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2026 12:01 pm You can though if we can sell Beto for £15m - £20m and only loan Barry out.
I'd rather a really good first choice and worry about what happens when they're out if and when that happens, than being limited in who we bring in as the main guy.
It's not like you can rely on Beto to come in and be adequate backup anyway because he's so bad for most of the season.
But as I've said in the other thread, I'd sell either... I'm really not arsed providing one goes and it gives us an extra wedge to spend on a starting competent striker.

Re: Beto
It's hard to see us splashing huge cash on the position, mix that in with Moyes' likely desire to have some PL experience whenever possible I'd (sadly) not be surprised by someone like Delap or maybe Arokodare from Wolves perhaps as another unit up top? If we had the money then Brobbey from Sunderland. Or maybe just buy whichever striker Brentford now are getting for Thiago backup once he goes, as it would seem they have an eye for it.
Either way, I probably would keep Beto around if we're shipping off Barry in whatever form (loan/sell).

Re: Beto
I presume with there being no talk about concussion etc. since the weekend that he’s available this weekend.

Re: Beto
Apparently per Everton socials, no PL forward has scored more goals than Beto since start of March...
It's a slightly odd stat, but pleased for him. If he can keep that going it'd helpful for our chances of Europe.
