Brutal one for Spurs there. The hope of Burnley winning at half time only for MGW to score a hat trick?

Forest have MGW, West Ham have Bowen, who do Spurs have?

Both of those player aren’t just great on the ball, but willing to run for days and do what the manager asks of them.

Spurs have nobody like that.

Just a bunch of players from the continent who aren’t quite good enough to play for any of the top clubs.

West Ham win tomorrow and the gap suddenly looks huge for Spurs. Would likely need 8 points from 5 matches after only picking up 9 from the last 16.

West Ham are bad but in ok form and Palace have little to play for in the league and are coming off a night out in Europe.

Think West Ham will have a massive impetus to just go out and get the job done tonight.

Don't actually fancy Spurs to get anything at Wolves.

Having said that though I believe if West ham win the wolves are mathematically relegated so it will be worth seeing if that changes them when they face spurs.

Imagine they'd be trying to take spurs with them. ;)

Leeds 3-0 Wolves
Tottenham 2-2 Brighton
Nottingham Forest 4-1 Burnley
Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

A great weekend for Leeds and Forest. An okay weekend for West Ham. A bad weekend for Tottenham.

Weds 20:00 Bournemouth v Leeds
Fri 20:00 Sunderland v Forest
Sat 15:00 West Ham v Everton
Sat 15:00 Wolves v Spurs

Feels like a pretty crucial round of games for Spurs coming up. Would say Leeds are probably out of it now but need a couple of points to make sure. Forest have given themselves breathing room but could well be Leeds 39, Forest 36, West Ham 36/34 and Spurs 34 after those fixtures, so who knows.

---

Think the big bonus for West Ham is that the Newcastle away game they'll be coming up against a bottom half team with absolutely nothing to play for who have been struggling and then they're at home against a Leeds side that will probably be safe at that point.

I think it's also unlikely Spurs take 9 points from those last 5 fixtures after going 15 without a win and they might need to.

Tempered by the fact that West Ham are still shite and couldn’t beat a Palace team on the beach and hungover from partying in Italy

Great recent results for Leeds, they are 100% safe now really. Forest's result was a good one, but really they had to win that one. They still need maybe one more win or a few draws from a pretty tough run of games. There is a lot for West Ham to do still.

If we go to West Ham and beat them, and Spurs beat Wolves they're in deep, deep shit at that point as they'd be back in the relegation zone with some very tough remaining games.

Even a draw with us next week and a Spurs win they'd be back in the relegation zone with their poor goal difference. Unless they get a huge favour from Wolves. So they probably need to beat us.

I'd have to think Spurs will look/need to go and get 6 or better points from their next 3 games. They're really the most kind fixtures for them.

Who knows though, lots of crazy results this time of the season.

Lets see if Everton bounce back against a West Ham team that is fighting for their lives.

If West Ham lose this then apart from maybe Leeds at home I'm not sure where they are going to get their next win from.

I expect Spurs to get at the very least 2 wins from their remaining fixtures - their dreadful form won't go on forever and de Zerbi is making some positive tweaks.

Spurs will probably need at least seven points from their last five games and I don’t see them having such a huge uptick in form to get those points.

Whats the opposite of king makers? I think whoever gets the better result against us stays up out of West Ham and Spurs. If WH win on Saturday then Spurs are done. If we win Saturday then it gives Spurs hope.

If Spurs beat Wolves then I think that gives them such a moral boost they could start to pick up points at a decent rate... They played well against Brighton but are extremely fragile so it doesn't take much to throw a lead away.

They've not won in 2026 though, so even beating Wolves is a big ask. They've got enough quality to stay up imo but if they fail to beat Wolves they're absolute toast.
