You seen the new rules mean you can't "carry forward" player sales?
Old FFP was an average of the last 3 years. SCR says 85% of that year's revenue.
So sell a player for £100m and you don't get to balance the books for 3 years, you can only spend it that same year (but in a way that won't effect next year's books!)
Enforces non-CL clubs to sell somebody annually and further creates a two-tier system where clubs that have the revenue to maintain a large squad can continue to build whilst everybody else are forced to sell

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Just for all the wobble heads, the transfer window doesn’t open for another 10 days.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I think the £50m is bollocks which is why I tried to figure out how that could be in some way correct.
If it is indeed all we have to spend, can someone explain to be how we'd have over 50% less to spend this summer despite a good increase in revenue from the new stadium and partnership deals, whilst also reducing the wage bill should Gana follow Coleman out the door as expected?

If some blurt down the pub started telling you how some other blurt had said to him he’d worked out we got £50m to spend, you’d nod politely and ignore him
Now these blurts are posting on the internet we seem to be analysing it far too deeply

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Any speculation is total bollocks, waste of time, just suppose Man U get Ndiaye for £60illion,we make a clear profit of £50,
what’s our transfer budget then ?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Football finance experts believe that new squad cost ratio (SCR) rules mean the Toffees are looking at a net spend of around £50m in the second of a two-summer plan to overhaul their squad and establish themselves as one of the best of the rest in the Premier League.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
This thread has gone a bit mental very early this summer. I suppose that's what no wins in our last 7 does!
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Have we signed a right back yet? Or even looked at a right back? Or thought about one?
Surely someone has a list of right backs available on a free or top championship right backs that they could wing across to Davy and the team.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
The most common links thus far to right backs appear to be
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Guela Doue
Emil Holm
Nothing absolutely concrete though however.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I saw a couple of days ago further speculation regarding the Vag.
Apparently Sporting are potentially willing to let someone try the Vag without paying, which would probably be appealing to Moyes.
I don't know how seriously we are looking at the Vag, but could potentially be a low risk option. Try before you buy would mean if the Vag stinks we aren't tied in to any sort of long term commitment.
