Re: England National Team
that lad should be a given for england - he is just what we need
minimum in the squad at least
Tuchel just not interested
and out of palmer foden etc MGW is the guy we have missed out on here
AND
i would have deffo taken Maguire for experience and goalscoring opportunities on set pieces
Re: England National Team
He would have played about 50 minutes in total and done nothing.
Hes not troubling Rodgers or Bellingham.

Re: England National Team
Watched something talking about the England squad and why he's not picked certain players. As @TheRam says MGW wouldn't have got any game time.
We have Bellingham who is better at all the same stuff, then Rodgers who runs beyond the striker, and Eze who is a different profile as well.
It's about balance and options, not just picking multiple players who offer the same thing. It's the right way to do it imo and the opposite of Southgate who just tried to shoehorn in the best 11 players regardless.

Re: England National Team
That’s an abomination of a line up
Keeping the World Cup opponents completely clueless to what we’ll actually play

Re: England National Team
Clearly there’s a chance of Henderson seeing some actually pitch time in the World Cup then

Re: England National Team
It's just a friendly, etc etc but this is pretty much exactly what I expect from this team in this heat. It's almost attritional football.
Re: England National Team
I'd love to see a measure of the calories wasted by Ngumoha doing stupid pointless stepovers everytime he gets the ball, for it to mount to nothing.

Re: England National Team
4 players are there instead of the arsenal lads just to have fun squad to train with or something.

but
if Saka got injured for example - MGW can be there as a direct replacement and play in his best position
