Absolutely pathetic. Grow up. Attention seeking at its worst. Should be a yellow card if you bring out a prop for your celebration.

Re: Football Pet Hates
Highlights of football where they have ludicrous and constantly changing camera angles so you don't really see what has happened.

Score updates of the 'other match' going on, that you were intending to watch on replay, well at least you were before finding out the score.
If I wanted to know the score I would have looked it up.

Tielemans today in the Senegal game...
Attackers gaining advantage from running blindside to a defender and placing their foot where they know they'll get contact from the clearing defender.
If you're not in a proper position to play the ball in the first place, you shouldn't be rewarded for jumping in at the last minute from behind/beside the defender to initiate contact. It's tantamount to diving. The punishment and ultimate reward to the opposition is not in the spirit of the game.
Attempting to clear the ball, from the best position to actually play it, should not be penalised.

Re: Football Pet Hates
He’s placing his foot to open his body up.
He wants the call to come across him, so opens his body up to tap it in with his right foot.
VAR has made everyone obsessed with overanalysing pretty standard calls.

Re: Football Pet Hates
I think I know what you're saying, but why is the decision seen through the eyes of the attacker? In their advantage? The defender was in the prime position to play the ball.
The 'obsessed with detail' is simply analysing and wanting to get the call right, by the rules.
If it took that long to decide it clearly wasn't a clear and obvious mistake, let's forget VAR and go with what the on field call was in the first place. Play on.

Those crappy AI generated signs that some people in the crowd are holding up and why the director thinks we need to see them
