I mean, as a plot to confuse the opposition as to who theyre getting closed down by and who theyre supposed to be picking up it may have its merits.
We have not seen the like since Carsley and Gravesen

A few flaky links with Rico Lewis again today.

This one kinda intrigues me.

I have a feeling that he’d be quite good if someone just let him get on with being a defensive midfielder.

Not sure how it works with Garner, KDH, and Hackney but I’d like extra passing quality from deep in there and Lewis has flashed bits of that.

He's being labelled as a RB in all the links I've seen

He’s mostly played RB at senior level but a Pep Guardiola inverted fullback is effectively a DM in possession.

If his development has stalled, it could well be because he’s not a natural fullback.

No simpler way to extract value from a transfer than moving a player into a role that is most comfortable for them.

Most City fans don't rate him. He was Pep''s vanity project for a while until they couldn't make it work as he is too small, too slow and not technically good enough.

One of those Man City players who for me look ok because of the mass of talent around him.

Not for me.

Yeah, consensus seems to be that he’s not big, strong, or fast enough for them.

Might be the wrong fit for our needs but there’s a midfield baller in there for the right club. I don’t hate the concept of buying low on someone who can pull strings from deep although buying Lewis and Hackney in the same window wouldn’t fully make sense from a first eleven standpoint.

We need someone who is big, strong, quick, good positional sense and can pass. No to Rico
