Surely there’s no chance of that, can’t remember what he cost now, but it was stupid money, iirc about £15m for a Scottish lad with about 20 appearances to his name.
Such a shame, for him and us.
I think it was £12m, but I imagine some was linked to performance etc.
Wouldn't be surprised if we go around £10m for him - he's 24 and an international footballer
Yeah. He’s not playing meaningful games whether he stays or goes.
I like him but he’s not a good enough athlete to play fullback in the Premier League.
Best for everyone to move on. Wish him the best wherever he ends up. He came to the club at a particularly terrible moment for his development and he’s never managed to fight his way back into the first-team picture.

That’s the job sell our only rb while we continue not to sign one good job Everton you never cease to disappoint
Hes not our right back even when hes our only right back. He should be sold

I wasn’t advocating keeping him more that we are selling our only one without having a replacement
Who says we haven’t got one or two lined up? None of us know what’s going on in the background, I’m pretty sure the club will sort it this summer, we’re just scarred from the previous regime.

Well it’s only taken them 3 years to find one so I wouldn’t be confident they have anyone lined up

It's not been smooth sailing the last few years has it? In fact the last half dozen plus were a mismanaged mess under crazy circumstances.
Even the good decisions were made in a sea of instability and have been largely forgotten.
We needed to secure 15 first teamers this time last year who were out of contract.
Whilst there will still be restrictions on us this season, you'd expect things like this to be sorted out in the near future. Regime change and rebuilding can take time. Sometimes we will need to 'make do'.
The reminders of recent past failures can be a little tedious to constantly endure.
I’d normally say keep unless we do sign another right back before replacing him.
But this is Everton, and even when he has been our only natural available right back, Moyes barely played him and went midfielders or centre backs in that position instead.
I genuinely wonder if we will ever sign a decent right back. In fact when I think back to the last good right back we signed, I find myself going back to…Seamus Coleman in 2009.
I'm not sure we've had a decent attacking right back apart from Coleman in the last 40 years.
It's not new.
- Ashley Young was well past his best.
- Neville wasn't great.
- Hibbert was solid but limited.
- Xavier was a centre back.
- Steve Watson was ok but technically limited, and often enough played in different positions.
- Jackson? Another who played better at CB?
Who else have we had since Stevens?
As we've been spoilt by Baines, Digne and Coleman as very good full backs in recent years, maybe expectations of easily and immediately securing a Coleman-esque quality is asking a bit much?
Munoz I'd take, Dumfries is out of our price range now. Name some that would suit us, improve us, and be within our price range.
